We were staying at the Marriott so it was very convenient. Like all island dining, it started early and we arrived earlier still to avoid the lines which can sometimes be long though not, as it happened, this evening. There is a little ceremony as the pork is lifted from it's underground oven which made for good video footage as did the show throughout. We are certainly not Luau officianados but the dancing was excellent and the show appeared to be the right balance of tradition and holday fun. The food was delicious and plentiful and the pork, as expected, was a highlight. The Mai Tai's were strong, no holding back because it was open. It did close a little before the end of the evening though. Whilst it was not a huge issue and I certainly did not miss out, it felt less than generous in spirit (pun intended)
The inevitable professional photo was actually worth buying, particularly as they send a digital copy if you email them within 30 days.
All in all this was a must-do evening of entertainment, particularly if you are staying at the Marriott and reasonable value. Mahalo Marriott.
