We read lots of reviews heading into booking this place. "The parking lot is too far........", "so much walking to get anywhere", were some of the reviews. We thought the place was amazing. It was our second trip here in 16 months. The onsite restaurants are a little spendy, but we will return here again, I'm sure. As for the walking, I usually go on vacation to walk in a chunk of paradise, no problem here.

We stayed at a condo in the resort and used the market and shopping everyday. It has lots of good retail clothing, art and restaurants. When you use the market save your receipts. The ABC stores (not a liqueur store) give free gifts depending on the amount of money you spent. Go in and get your free gifts. There is beach access in the resort and also you can get a day pass at the Hilton Resort (If you book early enough). It is 30 minutes from the Airport and 40 minutes from Kona. Sometimes that got a bit lengthy, especially after a day of diving and beer. Keep that in mind, but don't let it sway you from staying in the village it was very nice location.

By the time we left, we were calling our hotel Disneyland, because of the setup and the number of young kids. We ranged in age from 54 to 25, but still had a great time. Beautiful grounds, lots of swimming option, easy access to lots of things, great rooms and a couple of really good restaurants.

This place epitomizes Hawaii. It's so big you take a shuttle train or boat to your building. Pools are everywhere. Our room overlooked the part of the resort with all the pool areas are located. And we can see the ocean beyond. What a fabulous view! And the Dolphin Encounter is right there. What could be better than that? I came with my 10yo grandson, so I had cookies waiting for us in the room. They also provide a very cute stuffed toy sea turtle (for purchase) which my grandson loved. The room is spacious and beautiful. They even provide a way of staying on the grounds and using the pools and other facilities all day if you have to check out on a day when your plane doesn't leave until late at night. This place is wonderful.

This property is well designed and maintained. It is stunning. It has multiple pools and resturants and shopping. It has paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkeling on site. It has a kids zone and dolphin quest, which is a hands on educational program with Atlantic bottlenose dophins. The best choice for a resort on the island.
