We stayed in this delightful place for two weeks over Jue-July 2012. It's in a great location, with easy access to both the coconut marketplace for touristy stuff, and the general shopping center for groceries and everything else we needed. The apartments are roomy and well appointed. It's not brand new, but for a family travelling with kids, this allows us to be a little more relxed anyway. Service from all staff was prompt and curteous, especially the maintenance staff who fixed a few small items for us during our stay. We loved the location (just across the field from the beach - and whilst it's not a great swimming beach, about 5 mins walk to the south, there's a great rockpool that the kids can swim and snorkel in safely. This was our second trip to Kauai, although given the choice I'd probably never leave! When we come back, I'll definitely be looking to stay here again.

Room Tip: If you are staying on the bottom floor, take heed of the signs telling you not to leave things on th...

Awesome. Front desk was very helpful and very friendly. For the price, the room was on par with with some 4-stars out there, very clean. The pool and hot tub was very relaxing. We love the fully furnished kitchen. With the high price restaurants and coffee shops, the kitchen will really save you a pretty penny. Safeway and Foodland was a couple of blocks away. Excellent location, ample parking. Wife loved the wifi and ethernet connections. Only complaint we had was the water pressure, showers took longer but you get clean.
Living on Oahu and have been to pretty much every island, kauai is the island we long to return too and will again book at this hotel. We only had two nights here, it was so relaxing that it felt like we were here a week.

We arrived late on Kauai, from the West Coast, so this was a perfect location...just 15 minutes north of the airport. Suites are roomy, and adequately furnished, but fixtures in bathroom, sliding door aluminum frames are corroded....However, the price is right! Great value for families!
The beach is just across a field (no street to cross), very beautiful location! Staff is friendly and helpful!

Aloha Gary 1145. Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and our location. We are in the process of removing all shower doors, and replacing them with curtains. I just reviewed the list, we have completed 37 suites. All should be done within the next 6 weeks. Thank you so much for both your comments and your patronage. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Aloha.

OK so this hotel is a bit dated. It looks like it may have top-of-the-line back in the 80's. However, the hotel is located in a good spot for exploring the rest of the island. Kapaa is a cool little town with some good places to eat and there are two supermarkets near by if you want to eat on the cheap. The rooms are suits so you get a kitchen with everything you need to prepare a proper meal. The bedroom has two queen beds and the living room has a couch, small dinner table and there is a counter which you can sit and eat as as well. Internet was included in the price of the room which is nice if you care about staying connected. If you are a family or traveling with children and are on a budget you will like this place. The beach is not a swimming beach but it's great for evening walks. There are 3 pools on the property but they are nothing special. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful. At check-in they will give you a discount club card to the local Foodland supermarket. Believe me this makes a BIG difference when you shop. Hawaii is and expensive place so get ready for sticker shock on food prices. In short, the place is a little dated and could use a facelift. But it's clean and quiet at night. The area is safe so you don't have to worry if send the kids out to explore. A solid 3-star place. But who cares because you're going to be out exploring all day so you're only there to eat and sleep anyway.

Room Tip: Get a room facing away from the pool so you won't hear people splashing around at night. A corne...

Aloha M N. Thank you for your feedback. I agree with you, we have a great staff and location. Being located on the Royal Coconut Coast is perfect for those that do wish to enjoy so many of Kauai's activities. We have just started a renovation of 60 suites which will be complete by the end of the year. The new facelift is very nice. Mahalo for your business, we hope to see you again soon.

Rented a condo on this property for a week from a private owner and really impressed with the value of this place. Excellent location in Kapa'a central to site north and west. Loved the open field in front of this property (read: no building obstructing a view) and a short walk to the beach. Clean pools were a nice option for swimming. Easy, no fuss kind of place. Highly recommended for people looking for convenience and a clean, simple place to stay.

Checked in and my first impressions were the rooms were not updated and very small. Also they web site implies that this property is on the ocean. It's not on the ocean and the pictures are completed outdated. Do not bring a family here.

Room Tip: Don't get a room near the back because all you can hear is cars rushing by all night long

Aloha John F. Thank you for your feedback. I do apologize if we did not meet your expectations. I must point out we do not not advertise the resort as being on the ocean. We are 100 yards from the beach. We make that very clear in our description and visual gallery on our website. I again apologize we were unable to upgrade you to a scenic view suite, as we discussed that was not the category booked, and a free upgrade was not available. The summer is very busy on the Islands. Our reviews reflect our guests are pleased with both the size of our one bedroom suites, and our location. Mahalo.

Where to start because it was all great. I guess you have to start with the incredible service from Patti and Priscilla at the front desk. From restaurant recommendations to the oustanding service at check in, they truly understand what customer service is all about. The rooms are nice and clean with the full kitchen and full size fridge. Yes the stove is a little dated, but functional. The full balcony that extends the entire length of the unit (living room to bedroom) is an added bonus. If you're like us, you really don't spend much time in the room, but this place has all the comforts of home when you return from adventuring or beaching all day. The only thing I would change would be king size beds (instead of the 2 doubles) and an updated TV with DVD in the bedroom. I mention the DVD player because of the awesome selection that this resort has included in the cost of your stay. We left the kids at home this trip and actually got a chance to catch up on some movie watching at night. Each living room does have a flat screen and Blu-ray player.

Room Tip: If second story is an option, then take it. The first floor has a lot of foot traffic due to the ex...
