My sister asked for help to make her first time visit to Kauai to celebrate her 30th wedding anniversary something special. This 3 BR condo was roomy and wonderfully located for two couples. The beachfront view that took in the private hot tub and freshwater pool was exquisite. It was a direct walk to the beach with no obstructions, just sand and trees between the lanai and ocean. The condo was thoroughly outfitted and well-equipped with very nice furniture. My sister and brother-in-law had a wonderful time. It could not have been more perfect for us! Thank you so much!!

I would like to recommend that you do your research before choosing and island and area to visit. Kauai is very quiet with almost zero nightlife, shopping, or fine dining. Kapaa is a "locals" town and is not for someone who wants to be pampered and catered to. The locals are very pleasant and friendly, but they are not there to "serve" tourists. The neighborhood is nice, but definitely not manicured like Poipu or Princeville, and there are a few run down establishments in the immediate area. That being said, it was perfect for us!

The condo was beautifully decorated and the common areas were spacious. Everyone had their own bathroom, and beds were comfortable. The huge sliding glass doors to the lanai made the living room feel even bigger and the small dipping pool was perfect for cooling off.

We were able to walk and bicycle to nearby stores and what little shopping and restaurants Kapaa has to offer. You can rent bicycles for $10 a day and they are well worth it! Tiki Taco has the best fresh-caught fish tacos that are to die for! For a really nice dinner, Hukilau Lanai (just a short drive away) serves almost all locally grown (or caught) food. We had a fabulous dinner there!

This condo is located at the start of a nice paved 4-5 mile long trail that meanders up the coastline. Just out the back gate, there is a short trail to a locals beach that although isn't great for swimming, is very nice to walk on. There are many locals at this beach, some of them drink beer and play loud music, but it is very safe and they clear out by 10 PM at the latest. We had the treat of hearing some of them play ukuleles and sing one afternoon.

One drawback is that the chickens in the alley directly below the master bedroom window start crowing and clucking around 2 AM. While the crowing roosters are just part of the island, these are REALLY LOUD!! The window on the opposite side of the bedroom looks directly out to the front door so there isn't much privacy when it is open, and the frogs get a little loud under that window. We can't sleep with earplugs, but if you can, I highly recommend them.

The other drawback is that the master bathroom is really tiny and cramped, and is not good for two people. There is a spa tub in front of the bathroom door that needs to be be ripped out and replaced with a nice double-sink vanity!

Overall, I would definitely stay there again! Just remember in Hawaii, some patience, respect to the locals, and a smile will go a long way.

This was our second stay at Moana Kai Beach house B. Everything was just as great as the first time. The house is always well stocked and clean. You couldn't ask for a better location and view. The pool and hot tub are a huge bonus. It's hard to even consider a resort when you have it all at this house without the crowds. We are already planning our third stay there. We highly recommend this house.

We loved the condo and it provided us with every comfort needed, But do bring your earplugs as there was a rooster that lived directly behind this condo. He would screech every morning beginning at 3am and continue this until sunrise. The sound he made was so loud that there was very little you could do to muffle the sound.
Once the condo managers remedy this situation, I would highly recommend this condo.

The view at this house is amazing and the location is central to all parts of the island. We were delighted that the house had everything we needed for a comfortable vacation: beach chairs, snorkel gear, sand toys, water shoes, BBQ, spa, pool, Books on Kauai. We couldn't have been more happy with this rental! Thanks!

We really enjoyed this Beach House! The location was perfect for what we wanted to see and do all over the island. The view from the lanai is breathtaking!
The condo was well kept and clean with all the modern conveniences we needed (Wi-fi internet).
The pool, hot tub, and jacuzzi were fabulous and luxurious.
The owner is very professional and very quick to assist or to provide helpful information.
The only 'negative' anyone could say about the place is the roosters, but that is present on the entire island of Kaua'i. I came prepared with earplugs and never had an issue.
If I ever get to go for another vacation to Kaua'i, there is no doubt that I would stay at the Moana Kai Beach House again!

After many hours of looking at hotels and condo’s we decided on the Moana Kai Beach House B for our first trip to Hawaii. When I inquired about the condo, I received a phone call within a few hours. Jim was very prompt in communicating with me. Very often, the pictures you see on the internet are not what you see when you get to your destination. We were quite pleased when we opened the door to a very spacious living, dining and kitchen combo. The kitchen was stocked with practically anything you would need. We had 11 people for 2 dinners and did not need for anything. The furniture was very nice, including the couch cushions. There were plenty of bathroom and beach towels. There was a box of beach toys but we didn’t find the cooler we thought would be there. We decided to BBQ our first dinner but the propane was empty. I emailed Jim. We had a full tank in less than ½ hour. Needless to say, I was impressed. The pool was wonderful, as was the hot tub, with plenty of outside seating. The location of the condo is great. A short walk will get you to the beach, the grocery and shopping. Traffic is pretty heavy at certain hours of the day but not bad enough to deter one from travel. The beaches were fabulous. The people were friendly. It was a great trip for all of us. I definitely will be back to this beautiful island. Oh – the roosters. They do not know what time it is. They crow at all hours. The only thing I would suggest for this condo is a noisy fan for each bedroom.
