We got married the week that Hurricane Iselle was predicted to make contact with the Islands, so we had to be flexible in our plans and move some of our reservations to different times/days. That said, we ended up dining at the Bistro after being married on Anini Beach. We loved the ambience, the service and the food. I am vegetarian and we had many options to choose from. Some of what we enjoyed included: Curly Kale Salad: Carrots, Kunana goat cheese, almonds & a yuzu dressing, Sweet Potato Fries: Crispy purple Big Island potatoes with a chipotle sour cream, Blue Crab Cake: Served with a miso buerre blanc, seaweed & tobiko, and my husband ordered the Seafood Chowder: Clams, New Zealand mussels, Kauai prawn & fresh fish. The drinks were equally exceptional, Gin Passion: Hendricks gin, fresh lime, agave & guava passion fruit puree and we also ordered a Bistro Bandito: Parrot Bay, vodka, Cranberry Juice, Orange Juice & a splash of 7up. The place was a perfect choice all the way around. We loved it! We thought they may do something to acknowledge our wedding (an hour before) or at a minimum offer a free drink, but they didn't do anything to make it special, which was somewhat disappointing, but overall, we had a great experience.
