Kauai was the first leg of our honeymoon and after doing extensive research (including tripadvisor), I decided that Marjorie's was a perfect fit for my husband and I. We wanted someplace quiet and not too mainstream...a little paradise of our own without paying hugely for it. Not only did we receive that, but we definitely didn't expect the level of hospitality from Daniella and Mark. We had the Sunset Room which had the private jacuzzi tub to ourselves every night (of course after a long day at the beach) this became our private retreat....The breakfast was different everyday...range of fresh fruits to cereal to muffins...The location was pretty convenient considering all it was less than a ten minute drive to Poipu...We also had dinner and did grocery shopping in Koloa Town (less than 5 minute drive)...The north shore was less than an hour away but driving through the beautiful scenery, it didn't feel that long (especially if you rent a convertible like we did)...I could keep going on and on, but I would say that during out whole honeymoon of 10 days, the 4 that we spent in Kauai and Marjorie's Inn was the best...

We were in Kauai for our honeymoon and we'd never been in Kauai before Our stay was after 3 weeks in Hawaii visiting Oahu, Maui, Big Island and then Kauai.
All of these Islands are very different and we loved all the things we did and saw in these places.Arriving at the Marjorie Inn after 2 nights in an other sister's Inn in the area was a great pleasure and after spending many times in a bunch of resorts and Inn was by far the best place we stayed.
We've been welcomed by Alexi the Innkeeper whom leaded us to our room after a short explanation of the rules of the Inn we loved the first one ' do at least 3 things by day" Sure we did..lol
Our room was big, large and very clean with all the amenities you need for a wonderful stay, we had a spacious lanai with chairs, table and lawn chairs overlooked the valley and the pool.
We've been amazed by the beauty surrounded the Inn the peace and quietness.
Alexis and Mike were the fantastic hosts and they provide every morning a wonderful breakfast even though we've had several nice one somewhere, this one was the best and we can't describes all the choice and quality of the food you can get for the breakfast.
We've never turn on the TV and used only the wifi connection for checking flights there are so many things to do here (remember at least 3 ).
I'm a stargazer and we loved watching stars and sky soaking in the hot tube at night or on the balcony.
The Inn provides also all the items you need for your activities(snorkels, bycicles, bodyboards,etc...
Well! staying in Kauai and in the Marorie Inn was the spotlight of our stay in Paradise and we recommend truly this place for some who looking for a nice, unexpensive peaceful place with fantastic hosts. Laurence and Gilles from France

Marjorie's is amazing. We stayed here for the last part of our honeymoon and absolutely had the best time. We stayed at a bunch of other big resorts during our wedding and honeymoon but this was by far the best place we stayed -- and it was the least expensive.

If you are looking for privacy and peace and quiet in an amazing location, this is it. We easily could have lived here forever. The pool is refreshing and we had the best time reading and occassionally cooling off in the pool. Then we grilled on the BBQ next to the hot tub for dinner and ate in the little hut next to the pool. It was perfect. The included self-serve breakfast was also great, as well as the treats in the mini fridge in our room!

We will definitely be returning to Marjorie's, hopefully for longer than 3 nights next time!

We had the most wonderful time. We were with another couple and we were there for a week, The B & B overlooks a peaceful valley and the landscape is lush and tropical. We had a beautiful lanai (deck) that was spacious and overlooked the valley as well as the pool and hot-tub,we had green parrots flying by while eating the most delicious breakfast ever, (lots of fruit) and something different every morning. The owners happened to be there that week and they were extremely nice and accomodating and made the wondewrful breakfasts, We have been married 46 years and have travelled extensively and this B & B has to be at the top of the list! Marjories is very seculded, quiet . At night, we would sleep with our windows open and a tropical shower would move through and lull you back to sleep and you would wake up the next morning to beautiful sunshine and a rainbow out over the valley (really). A wonderful place for a honeymoon or to be with your wife of 46 years. We loved it and are going back for sure ! Bill & Mary Lee, Arkansas

We stayed with another couple at this B&B and it was wonderful. Rainbows every morning at breakfast on the lanai, at night a star filled canvas to admire. Breakfast was great! A fantastic view from literally the SIDE OF A MOUNTAIN! As mentioned by others the driveway is steep, but we are all in our 60s and had no problem. It's a quiet, peaceful, place to stay.

The best B&B on the island! The Sunset room was divine and has an amazing view. Micheal and Daniella are the ultimate hosts! the inn is located just 3 miles away from Piopu Beach and Koloa Town, which are wonderful spots to call homebase. Centrally located, Marjorie's is near all the big resorts, plus some amazing hikes that Micheal and Daniella will advise you on. Enjoy the luxurious private hot tub and exquisitely comfortable bed. We will return as promised!

My wife and I spent three nights in the Valley View room and have only praise for both the inn and inn keepers. We had the unusual pleasure of meeting both sets of hosts; Mike and Alexis checked us in and we received a bounty of great advice from them. Unfortunately, we only met Michael and Daniela the last morning of our stay, but they were engaging and a delight to talk with and surely would have provided us with outstanding advice for our stay had we met earlier.
The Inn peeks from the trees on the sunset facing valley slope, and is a sublime hideaway. There is definitely a sense of idyllic seclusion from the property. The rooster calls across the lowlands, and bird songs (with the occasional gecko squawk) were really the only sounds we heard. We kept so busy enjoying the many gorgeous sites of Kauai; there was little chance to enjoy the Inn’s amenities. The pool looked perfect for morning laps, and the hot-tub an excellent place for dusk soaks. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the Inn provides an eclectic selection of outdoor toys for your enjoyment; from bicycles to snorkel gear, lawn chairs and boogie boards.
Breakfast was of the continental variety, with a few additional local items. I tend to eat larger breakfasts before active days, so I might recommend the Inn’s breakfast as a prelude to a larger meal, should you be planning hikes or a day of physical exertion. That is definitely not a critique of the breakfast selection; the selection would be more than enough to fuel an afternoon of site seeing.
This is a great choice in a truly beautiful place.
