We were VERY pleased with this hotel. It was a perfect location to easily and quickly access the north and south coast. We were ok without a swimmable beach on the property, there were plenty of beaches to visit throughout the island. Yes, parking is a short walk. We expected a longer walk after reading reviews, but it wasn't bad at all! The staff was very pleasant and helpful, especially the gentleman who keeps an eye on the water slide. He loved his job and he made our visit more fun! The pool was very crowded on the weekend, perhaps with non-hotel visitors. We were thankful we purchased the morning buffet breakfast package - it was delicious and worth every penny. For the value, location and comfort, we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Room Tip: A first floor room is easy access to the pool and gardens, but the chickens will wake you up!

Nice place to stay, had a two bedroom condo and was plenty of room for my husband and soon and my parents. Resort is located on the beach, but not a swimming beach, just nice for walking and finding treasures. Pool areas are nice, used the grills a couple times. Located on the East side, can go to North shore or head to Poipu. Walmart located close, be sure to rent a car to enjoy all the island has to offer. This is our fourth trip to Kauai and we enjoyed this location the best.

This is a very comfortable resort to stay at. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is very friendly and professional. This was our ninth visit for my wife and I, and we keep coming back because it truly represents the Aloha Spirit.

We went here for a wedding reception last summer. Our experience was amazing. Everywhere from the food to service to the hotel appearance (and beaches!) were amazing. I want to come back to Lihue just to stay here. The beaches are spectacular. Very secluded. Highly recommend and we will be back!

We spent ten days at Kauai Beach Resort to finish off our honeymoon and it was absolutely outstanding. The location was perfect for exploring the island - five minutes' drive from the airport (didn't hear a thing) and the main town of Lihue. We had an ocean view room in the closest block to the beach, and upgraded to B&B which was well worth the extra few dollars as there's a great selection every morning. Our room was big, clean and comfortable and they even upgraded us from a tube tv to a flatscreen while we were there (coincidence I'm sure)!

All the staff were friendly and accommodating but I have to pick out two in particular - one of the concierge ladies spent a great deal of time with us researching the best options for the trips we wanted to do (ziplining and deep sea fishing) and she saved us a fortune. By far and away our favourite member of staff was Efren the barman - he greeted us warmly by our names every evening, asked what we'd been up to and made recommendations for the next day, and was just a really great guy to chat to. Obviously he deserves a day off but I must admit we were disappointed when he wasn't behind the bar! And of course he makes a cracking cocktail - try the strawberry lemon drop.

We weren't in Kauai for nightlife so we ate and drank in the hotel every night - the menu was varied enough for us to have something different every day and the weekly steak and seafood buffet is a treat. They even cooked our tuna (caught on the fishing trip) for us!

All the pool areas were clean and well maintained, there always seemed to be someone working on keeping the gardens neat and tidy, and generally we couldn't fault the cleanliness or the presentation of the hotel.

Very much looking forward to visiting again for our five year anniversary.

Room Tip: Ask to be placed in the blocks closer to the sea front for a better view (although most rooms have a...

We booked a wheelchair accessible room for 4, and then arrived early. The front desk personnel went through every accessible room until they found exactly what we needed. They stored our luggage while having the room cleaned, and then had our luggage delivered to the room while we had a drink by the pool. And the room was amazing, as was the entire resort! The beach was great, the breakfast buffet was a real treat, and the location fit us perfectly. We will be back! Bet on it!

Room Tip: Every room has a great view!

I've stayed at this resort twice about 8 years apart. It was the Radisson in another life. The pools are great and during certain tides the beach is good too. If it is a lower tide, the rocks/reef creates a small lagoon that our son enjoyed playing in. It felt like we were on our own private beach. There is nothing within walking distance from the resort so plan to drive.
