Description: On the sand at Kalapaki Beach, Duke’s is dedicated to legendary surfer Duke Kahanamoku, Hawaii’s Ambassador of Aloha. The restaurant’s open-air design offers stunning, sweeping ocean views while the 30 foot waterfall plunges into a koi pond below that meanders through the tables. Enjoy a leisurely lunch, romantic dinner, or tropical cocktail in a fun, friendly atmosphere.

“Nice food, not that exceptional like 10 years ago”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

This was nice, the food decent, the views are also good. It made more of an impression 10 years ago. I think the entrees were average for the price and locale. They used to be dressed up a lil more in the past, maybe it was presentation. A good place to go but not my favorite.

“Great Food!”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

This was a great place to eat. Be aware that upstairs has the same name and kitchen but has a completely different menu. We got tricked into this, but it was an excellent meal. Downstairs at the sand bar the finger foods and drinks are great and about average for price $$. There is a happy hour. :-) Upstairs dinner was delicious but very pricey $$$. I would recommend and return!

“Epic view. Amazing Hula Pie!”
Reviewed 3 June 2014 via mobile

Also good service. All the food was great. The coffee was pretty ordinary but not complaining...go the Hula Pie. You'll be sickeningly full afterwards... :)

“Something for everyone with an oceanview”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

Great salad bar and something for everyone one the menu. Appetizers great. Awesome snack menu downstairs. Try the Pineapple mojito......and as always the hula pie. Upstairs a bit pricey for what is on the plate but you get more for your dollar eating downstairs.

“Best restaurant view on Kauai's beaches”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

Situated right on Niwilliwil Bay next to the Marriott, we have enjoyed this place for some sixteen years now on annual visits.
Besides it convenience, it's noisey but fun, good bar banter, really great on tropical nights-drinks pretty good, bar type food downstairs and more formal dinners upstairs; we always prefer sitting downstairs although long waits can be common. they have great burgers, Ahi salads, fancy big fries, goeey desserts if you must, draft beers, good Mojitos; wones could be better selection. for the setting and many hotel patrons crowds that jame the place early on (happy hours start the crowds early), the prices are pretty fair (less downstairs-yet all same kitchen).
We land in Kauai and nestle in at Duke's every trip upon arrival and check-in. (often a good place to wait out rooms to become available-or to relax before airport departures,
