Made a quick stop around 3:45 pm on a Thursday to try their beer and the place was already packed to the point the only table left was outside by the door. We had a pint of the Black Limousine, a European style dark lager, and a taster of the Lihue Lager, a Helles style. Both were quite good. The teenager with us had the house made root beer, but wasn’t overly enthusiastic about it, and upon trying it I also found it to be underwhelming, thin in flavor with a watered down taste. Since it was Thursday, they had two food trucks out front that were doing a brisk business. Staff was a bit hit or miss, with some being quite friendly and enthusiastic, whereas others seemed overwhelmed and edgy by the crowd. Bottom line though is this is a beer place and the beer is good. If you’re into craft beer don’t pass it by!
