This place was truly amazing! The grounds were very well kept. And the roosters had us laughing on more than one occasion. We saw some people complaining about them on previous reviews but they truly never bothered us once. Also, all birds on the island (roosters and chickens included) are protected by law, so it isn't fair to complain about them on a hotel's reviews considering they are all over the island. Not just this one property.

To speak more on the facilities: My husband and I came to the island with nothing planned. We wanted to get there and just get a word from the locals on the island as to the best places to go etc. That's when we met Mahana, the concierge on the property. She was so incredibly helpful and all of her suggestions were spot on!!! She even personally took us to one steak house called Kahalea, and she wasn't even working! That's a level of service and genuine care that we haven't experienced before from a concierge. By the end of our trip we feel like we have made a true friend in her! She's the best!
Also, the surfing instructor Nelson was extremely helpful and knowledgable about the best places to go and even offered to take us on a personal hiking trip! Which is outside of his job!
Koloa Landing is by far the best place to stay on the south shore! The rooms are more like condos, which are perfect for families! The full kitchen and options for multiple rooms would serve a family very well! :) we can't wait to get back here and will definitely be coming back and staying at this property! Mahalo Koloa Landing, Mahana and Nelson for being such a big part of our amazing honeymoon on the island! Aloha- Mike and Holli.

Move over everyone...this IS the newest... and now my favorite place to stay in Poipu. FAMILY, FRIENDS, or ROMANCE...it has it all. We stayed just one night; and we were sold (and no, we didn't buy a place, just sold on the chance to stay there)...the hotel is not finished, but the construction is totally out of sight. The condos are very high end, this should be rated in the 5 star category of condo/vacation rentals. If you are looking for luxury, this is the new star on the south shore.

Room Tip: Corner Unit on a floor higher than the bottom floor...they all have views of the ocean

We just spent a week here with another couple, both of us have 8/9 month old babies. We booked a 2 Bedroom, but were upgraded to a 3 Bedroom, Unit 9-401 ( which have lovely views of the ocean, I think Bldg. 9 and 6 have the best views FYI)
We had a huge wrap around balcony, which I believe all the 3bedroom units have. Bldg 9 and Bldg 1 have views of the empty lot next to the property, but this didn't bother us at all. I would rather have an unobscured view then look at another building, but that's just me.
We were supplied 2 cribs and 2 high chairs at no extra charge. Units have a separate laundry room and very spacious full kitchen with an abundance of cooking utensils.
The grounds are lovely, as well as the 2 pools (in my opinion, Koloa Landing has the second nicest pool aside from the Hyatt).
The staff, across the board, are super helpful, accommodating, and friendly. The ocean is a short walk from the property, as well as the Ku'ikilaki (sp?) Shopping Center.

The Sheraton beach is a short walk away if you want to lay out by the beach.
There is also one of the few shore dive locations just in front of Koloa, and our friends went SCUBA diving one morning and said it was great!

Overall, the accommodations are spectacular for the price. I was actually really impressed that everything I had seen and read about Koloa Landing turned out to be true. This is a condo resort, and although they have a spa, fitness center, snack bar, pool and all the other wonderful amenities you would expect, there is no real bar or restaurant, but you can walk a short distance to find what you need. I would definitely recommend this place, and look forward to returning one day. Absolutely wonderful for families!
HIghly recommend!

Room Tip: I believe room 9-404 has the bet unobstructed view of the ocean and sunset. Bldg. 9 and 6 probably h...

Overall, great place. Clean & comfortable. Beds comfortable too. Needs better poolside service for drinks & snacks. Drink prices way too expensive.
