Food was so good. Would go back again if we ever get a chance. Book ahead early so you can catch dinner at sunset!

This is the best dining experience I have had in a long time. The location itself is worth a visit. The food is on the pricey side, but well worth it. The fish is out of this world fresh, the food is beautifully displayed, and the taste must be experienced. The beets were a wonderful vegetarian option. The braised pork pupu was something I will want to have again. The drinks were incredible. Service was great and overall the vibe at this restaurant was very relaxing. My advice, save your lunch money, splurge, and enjoy this remarkable dining experience.

Lets put this right out there. You are paying for the incredible sunset view in this open air location with great ambience. The food? Just ok and spotty. Great crabcakes and calamari, but steak seasoning lacking and potatoes undercooked. Two fish plates were overcooked and tough. Still worth the trip for the

The food was very good, I will admit that, however that was about it. Our service was just ok. We felt as though we were forgotten or something as other tables around us seemed to get their food faster and seemed to be treated better. When our food did come they brought out the wrong dishes, definitely not what we ordered. Our waitress did have that fixed, but that just meant a longer wait for food. It was our 36th wedding anniversary and we were excited to celebrate at this restaurant. When we made our reservation they asked if it was any special occasion so yes we told them. Our waitress did wish us a happy anniversary and then gave us a card signed by herself and the staff. Although a nice gesture we were confused because another table next to us had an anniversary celebration and their waitress brought some beautiful dessert followed by a huge fuss from their waitress. As I said, it was just confusing. Maybe treatment is determined by who is serving your table. It is probably the most perfect restaurant location on the south shore to watch the sunset, but not necessarily in the summer months. The angle of the sun is such in the summer that you really don't get a true Hawaiian sunset from that point.. The fall months (November) is the best time of the year for the perfect viewing. At the end of the day our celebration was just average and not the special night we had hoped for. For the price we paid, we had hoped for a better experience.

Having been told that the food was over rated, we were skeptical about dining at the Beach House but decided to give it a try anyway. We made reservations at a time near sunset. Our table had a nice view of the ocean, as did every table there, it seemed. We ordered seafood and steak dishes. They were all excellent. Good portions and very flavorful. The waitress was informative and accommodating. The only dish that was sub-par was the lobster mac n cheese. It was very tasty but unfortunately, as you got to the middle of the crock, the mac n cheese was cold. The waitress informed the chef, but by the time it was ready to come out again, we were finished with the other parts of our meals. We were not charged for the dish. We almost went back the next day to try it again, but ran out of time. All in all, we had a very good experience with the food, service and ambiance at the Beach House. I would recommend it as one of my top three dinners in Kauai.
