Aloha Ingrid H,
Mahalo for the gracious review. We thank you for selecting the St. Regis Princeville as your Hawaiian getaway and we are pleased to hear your stay was exceptional. Our staff truly takes pride in providing service that is beyond expectations. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
With warmest aloha,
Probably the best service I have had at any luxury hotel in the US. Nice rooms. Not a crowded pool for peak holiday season. Great food at the restaurants though I would recommend getting off property to Postcards. Would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.
wow! This hotel have the whole the location was very nice and so was the property in general. The staff was very welcoming and made us feel like we were staying at home. All in all this was a great experience. The facilities on site including the restaurants we're beyond expectations. The breakfast every morning had such a great view it felt like waking up in heaven, the ocean view with the backdrop of the mountains was just completely breathtaking. We have rented a car for a few days and this was a great way to explore the rest of the island, as this hotel is located in a secluded area in the north of the island. In addition to the fantastic dining facilities, the overall architecture and build out of the rooms Spectacular. we stayed here for 5 nights and had a great time.
We appreciate hearing from our guests and we thank you for writing a review upon your return home. Our exquisite atmosphere and uncompromising service makes us a truly unique destination and it would be our sincere pleasure to welcome you back for many years to come.
With warmest aloha,
A wonderful stay at the St Regis Princeville in Dec 2013 during our pre wedding 'honeymoon'.
The service was impeccable and the room was great. Especially the gentleman by the name of Matt who was there to greet us at the front of the property and everyday after that. He was such a sweetheart and absolutely made our stay special. We still speak of him today. He greet us everyday with a smile without fail and always try to make us feel at home at the St Regis, ready to help. Infact, he is one of the very few people that we remember from our trip besides our wedding photographer and wedding officiant. in addition, the guys at the pool were also extremely helpful. Always ready to help with a smile.
The one thing we regret is not staying in St Regis for the whole of our stay in hawaii as we had already made plans to go to Maui to get married there. As beautiful as maui was, we were missing Kauai and St Regis. We stayed at a couple of different hotels in Hawaii but i must say St Regis is the best of all . Infact we are already planning our anniversary back to hawaii and will absolutely return to St Regis Princeville for our visit.
Please send our thanks to all the staff at the property.
Mahalo for taking the time to write such a wonderful and sincere review about your pre-wedding Hawaiian getaway. Our staff takes great pride in being able to create a bespoke experience for each and every one of our guests. It does not surprise us that you were able to remember a smiling face such as Matt's. We will make sure that he receives acknowledgment. It would be our sincere pleasure to welcome you back for many years to come for all your Life's Celebrations.
With warmest aloha,
We decided to return to the St. Regis for our 30th anniversary . (the first time we were here it rained every day and the lobby was being refinished.) This time everyday but one was lovely .
This , of course , has nothing to do with the hotel other than it is on the rainy side of the island. The welcome is friendly and helpful, The ocean isn't great for swimming as the bed is very rocky but it is great for snorkeling, sunning and reading. The beach staff is friendly and very helpful. not one but three towels if one asks!
We had only the continental breakfast which was fine, and the lunches at the pool were also good pool food. I would have preferred that the dining room was more clear about the difference between the continental and the buffet breakfast.
The "fine dining" restaurant wasn't open, but we both remember the "un fussy" food in the Kuaii grill as being better so we would have eaten there every night even if the other was open. Neither of us was ever a big Jean Georges fan. In the Kauai grill Everything was cooked to order, service attentive and one can sit outside and look at the water, although they have piped in music it isn't too intrusive.
We stayed on a butler floor and after a day in the heat at the pool the butlers usually met us in the hall asking if we would l like ice or the daily complementary coffee. We didn't do the spa but the two exercise rooms are spacious with good equipment. The press pot coffee in the room in the a.m. was lovely.
The rooms are spectacular with a view of the ocean and/or the cliffs. The tub/shower also has a window overlooking the ocean, and a fancy switch that makes the window opaque. And the final gift from the hotel a double rainbow on our anniversary! We will definitely go back. The service and attention to detail is wonderful

It would be our sincere pleasure to welcome you back for many, many more Anniversaries.
With warmest aloha,
We stayed here for a part of our honeymoon (also went to Grand Hyatt and the Ritz in Maui). The resort is beautiful, brand new lobby and gorgeous views. We had a junior suite which was large and very nice. Comfortable beds and a nice sitting area. The bathroom had a switch so that you could have a view of the ocean while in the shower which was neat. The suite comes with butler service which we did not utilize much. We did get the coffee service one morning which was delicious. I wish that the rooms had balconies, however other than that it was absolutely perfect.
As far as the restaurants onsite go, we were underwhelmed. The best meal we had was room service the first night. The breakfast buffet was alright, plenty of options but nothing outstanding. The views made up for the so-so food though - Kauai is just absolutely gorgeous! For lunch we went by the pool to Nalu Kai Grill and it was one of the worst meals of our entire trip. Makana terrace had good sushi and amazing drinks though. The champagne "sabering" show was very anticlimactic, just a ploy to get everyone to the bar, but it did make for beautiful views of the sunset.
The infinity pool was nice and the beach was great (the towels were a bit ratty though). Plenty of chairs and waiters bringing waters/drinks and pineapple throughout the day. It was odd having chickens running around the grounds, but that is to be expected.
Overall I loved this resort, I just wish there were better restaurant options, especially for lunch.
