Sushi (my fav), an omelet station, crepes, crab legs, prime rib, shrimp, pork, chicken, pancakes, eggs, bacon, fresh fruits & salads, cheeses, and a desert table full of tempting treats to finish it off. As much as you can eat and & it's all delicious. We ate at 11am and had no need to eat again until the next day! Totally worth the money.

As you drive into the Princeville resort area, you know you are in for something special. Beautifully manicured lawns and lovely vistas... and the St. Regis is located right at the very end in the most prime location - with stunning views of Hanalei Bay.
We were greeted with a "welcome to the best of the best" and garlanded with some beautiful shell leis. The lounge area was very classy, and has a bit of an old-world charm.
My husband is an SPG Gold member and mentioned to them as we checked in, that we were celebrating our 10-year anniversary. However, there was no acknowledgement from the hotel staff about it (compare that to the Andaz in Maui, where they offered us complimentary cocktails and a cheese and fruits platter. We weren't looking to get anything free, but it's the thought that counts).
The rooms were nice, but felt a bit outdated - especially the dark-coloured bathrooms.
But the views from the room and also the balcony (where the hotel does a champagne sabering ritual every evening) were just spectacular. You'd never want to leave!
The concierge was helpful in providing tips for visiting Waimea Canyon and for making bookings for a Napali Bay boat tour.
All in all, it is a beautiful property and we had a very nice stay, but didn't feel they lived up to their claim of being "the best of the best".

My husband and I spent a week in June 2014 at The St Regis Kaua'i. It was a wonderful vacation. The St Regis is fabulous. It is a lovely property. The views from the resort are beautiful. We enjoyed the pool, spa and restaurants. The St Regis staff was exceptional. Always friendly and helpful. The guys at the pool were the best. We felt like we were the most important guest at the resort for the week. The concierge was very helpful in planning excursions and gave great advise. We definitely recommend The St Regis!!!!

Room Tip: We had an ocean view room. Every morning as the sun come up, there were rainbows over the mountain...

Long overdue on writing a review here, but cannot say enough great things about our stay at St Regis. Upon arrival everyone was so friendly - even the valet offered to take our picture to document our arrival.

Check in was quick and on day 1 of 7, when we noticed a leak in our closet, we were quickly moved (and upgraded) to a suite with views of the water and sunset, and butler service.

The bar has entertainment at night. Somehow the pool staff know your name, and are always there if you need help. What really made the resort special was that they expect you to leave and explore the island, so they are always ready with bottled water and towels for you, as well as suggestions.

An amazing honeymoon. Cannot wait to go back! I hope there's another leak in our room :)

We came here to celebrate our first anniversary. The St. Regis is a majestic and beautiful hotel. We were concerned about some of the reviews saying the hotel had become one down. In our opinion it's still a top notch world-class luxury hotel with superb service and a wonderfully appointed hotel. We had a premium oceanview room with spectacular views of the bay and mountains with windows that opened up to the sounds of the crashing waves in the ocean. We were greeted very warmly and had a bottle of complimentary champagne in our room. We also were treated very nicely by the staff at the restaurant, the Kauai Grill. The dinner was spectacular and the sunset views even more amazing. We enjoyed a tandoor a seasoned Seabass, truffle cheese ball, and a decadent chocolate flourless cake dessert. We were in heaven. The staff there is so accommodating and a special shout out to the concierge Kristine who helped us plan activities and our vowel renewal. The breakfast buffet was also basic but very good with amazing views overlooking the Hana Lei bay each morning. We loved it so much that we extended our stay one night. The St. Regis here is a truly spectacular hotel and that our standards and we travel many places in luxury five-star hotels. I didn't quite understand some of the negative reviews that I read but perhaps there are rooms that are not up to par. You can't go wrong at this hotel and the location is wonderful in the summer. We are told that it rains here on the northern side of the island much more in the winter so that is something to consider. This location is very close to the beach at the end of the road with the famous hike to the waterfalls which is not to be missed and 8 mile round-trip hike of true beauty. At night with turndown service they give you a dark chocolate with Hawaiian sea salt which became something I look forward to each night. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Its a lovely hotel that has beautiful scenery. Our room was an ocean view room and it was beautiful. We loved looking out our window to the ocean and moutons. Service was great and we enjoyed the breakfast each morning for 4 days.

We are a family of 4. We spent a total of 3 weeks in Hawaii and we saved the best 8 nights for last in Kauai. needless to say, we were looking forward to the Kauai St. Regis, but I was worried that my expectations were set to high. Well, I was wrong!

If you're looking for excellent service, great location and an impeccable view....This place is for you! We stayed 8 nights at the fabulous resort and our only problem was that the kids (9 and 11 year old girls) always wanted to leave what we were doing to go back to the resort. The level of service that was provided everywhere from the valet to the poolside waiters was amazing. Highly recommend this hotel! Yes, the food and drinks are expensive, but the view, service, and spending time with the people you love.....priceless.

Room Tip: We had a 4th floor ocean view which was convenient because the elevators connect on that floor.
