“Best resort view on Kauai!”

Wow! That's all could say when we woke up to the most amazing view from #1305! We traveled all over the island on our stay on Kauai and are convinced that we had one of the very best views, no matter how much we would have paid to find better. Simply stunning. We loved the resort as well. Very beautiful setting and a great beach that continued with the stunning view of the bay and had wonderful trees to escape under if you didn't want to sit in the sun. The concierge was so helpful and we were treated like we were regular members of the resort. The location is farther away from many of the "attractions" but was well worth it for the comfort and beauty that was there. The room had everything you needed. Ginny was great to work with. No complaints!

Thanks Ginny for the wonderful stay in your fabulous condo #1305!! It was the BEST!! The view was breathtaking and the resort was incredible. We tried to squeeze in as much sightseeing as possible but it was great to know we were coming home to Hanalei Bay Resort. The location of the condo was great seeing the ocean in the distance, the incredible pool area with its lush foliage, yet being close to parking & exit was so convenient. The beach itself (shared with St. Regis) was ok but we went off exploring other beaches. I originally booked the St. Regis for the previous year at nearly twice the cost and am SOOOOO glad we cancelled & booked here... St. Regis has no balconies, the people were sitting on top of one another on the beach, no lush jungle feel at all - just all felt snooty!! WE LOVED IT & it was our best vacation to date, and we travel A LOT!!! You can hear the live music they had at Happy Talk Lounge but honestly, we enjoyed it & it never kept us awake (done at 9pm)... one night it was so good we went for a bit to enjoy it even more!! Happy hour (3-4pm) drinks ran around $8-10 but that's not too bad considering you ARE in Hawaii... Tips: Use the little card on the door key or your rental car for discounts at the Food Land or go into Hanalei & go to Big Save... Alcohol was not too expensive but some things were much more than NJ prices...

Reviewed 29 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was truly amazing, the views are breathtaking, and thank you to Ginny, you made everything so easy with the check in/check out. If we are lucky to ever get back to Kauai we would defiantly return.

“what we hoped for”
Reviewed 30 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We normally travel with our kids, but this was an anniversary trip for the 2 of us. This condo makes you feel privacy in the middle of a busy resort. The view is unreal! The bed and accommodations are so comfortable. My favorite part was drinking coffee on the lanai and staring at that view! We enjoyed Happy Talk lounge on site...food and atmosphere were great. There is an easy path to the beach on Hanalei Bay and the St. Regis for sunset and cocktails. You'll love it. It was a good value and a great choice for us. Well done, owners.

“Stunning view, perfect location, beautiful resort & condo!”
Reviewed 24 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We loved staying in this condo... it had a comfortable bed, the perfect amount of space for 2 people and the view was gorgeous! The studio condo was equipped with pretty much everything we needed and then some. We were off on adventures pretty much every day (but we could have easily hung out in this resort and unit much more), but when we were there for breakfast we loved eating on the patio and enjoying the view. Every morning little birds would sit on our railing and sing while we ate, so much beauty everywhere. Roosters woke us every morning, but considering there's chickens all over this island, I'm sure that happens no matter where you stay. The resort itself is so beautifully done, it fits in perfect with its surroundings, the pool is gorgeous and the hot tub is perfect for after a long day of hiking! The only negative we found with the unit itself was that the back door of the resort's lounge/bar (which they seem to always keep open) is not too far away from the condo's patio balcony, so it can be slightly loud, but it was always quiet by 9 or 10pm. We loved being close to the parking lot because we went exploring the island so much, so it was convenient, but since the condo is on the 3rd floor (the 3 flights of stairs didn't bother us, but just a heads up) you don't hear any sound from the parking lot at all. We loved the location of the resort, close to Hanalei Bay and everything on the North Shore. If you stay in this unit or at this resort, make sure to check out the sunset from the front lawn at the resort, one of the best spots on the island to watch it!
Thanks again Ginny!

Lane, thank you so much for your nice review. Your input regarding the back door of the Happy Talk was very useful for us. The Happy Talk Lounge had just reopened right before you visit. Consequently the landscaping had not been started. A wall is now being built so that you will not see the back side of the building. Then the landscaping will be planted which will eliminate the issue for the Hibiscus Building.

“Great place to relax on the North Shore!”
Reviewed 8 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

After a busy 5 days in Maui, this is exactly what we needed to relax. The condo is perfect for a couple. Having beach chairs, a sun umbrella and coolers provided made for enjoyable days on the beaches.
As others have stated, the beautiful beach is shared with the upscale St. Regis - I lovely place to dine or have a sunset cocktail. The Happy Talk Lounge is a new, open air bar that has a cool vibe. The menu is not expansive but pretty good. It was disappointing that they do not allow "to go" orders as we tried to get food to take to the pool area. While there is no outdoor service, it is a lovely salt water pool. Wifi is a little unpredictable for those who care about that - but great to unplug. One should note that this unit is close to the Happy Talk Lounge. The music is done at 9pm so noise not an issue, but the back of the building has lighting that detracts from the night deck ambience in my opinion. (The resort should switch these out with ones not so stark ) Overall - we recommend - a good value for the North Shore :)

Shari, thank you so much for your input. It has been very helpful. The Happy Talk Lounge had just reopened and all the details had not been completed. The shields to the lights are now in place so that they just light the sidewalk. In addition a wall and landscaping is in the process of being installed, so you will not be able to see the back of the building at all.
