Kailani overlooks the Hulopo'e Bay which you should try and get there during sunset; although you don't have a direct view of the sunset the view is still amazing. We ordered the Barbabietole as an antipasti which are Big Island beets, which I wish I could have taken home a case! they were absolutely delicious. For our main dishes we ordered the Bucatini which has a three meat ragu (veal, chicken, pork and fennel sausage) and the Spaghetti alla Chitarra which is housemade spaghetti carbonara (applewood slab bacon). Fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The restaurant area was lit with tiki torches and mini lights which set a wonderful stage for a romantic dinner. For desert we had Torta di ananas which is a roasted pineapple almond cake, caramel sauce with Hawaiian sea salt and pineapple ice cream. The server was very friendly and tended to our every need/request.
