“All the memories of childhood!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 May 2013

After all these years it is soooo great to see some things haven't changed on Maui. The first time I ate Guri Guri was when I was 11 years old and I remember it like it was yesterday. On my last trip there, I tried to find the store, but couldn't remember where it was. My aunt and cousins surprised me and took me there and it was exactly the same. Guri Guri is so special and so unique from anything else around Everyone must try it once and become hooked on it like me (even after 30 years)

“Tasty island treats!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2013

I like to mix up the pineapple with the strawberry and the prices cannot argue with! good hot dogs and chips. Tight space, though. Soda machine still too sweet!how come? oh well...good luck guys! still the best in town! great to give the whole family. especially the little ones. Feel like a kid when I eat this!must be the little Dixie cups and the little wooden spoons?

“Love this place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 January 2013 via mobile

My father in law grew up on Maui with the owner and recommended we stop here. Straight from the airport we ordered a mixture of pineapple and strawberry scoops. They were devoured immediately. 2 minutes later, we were placing another order (bigger this time). Great local stop and inexpensively priced. Came back 2 more times during our trip. Would have been more if they were open later.

“small and sweet”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 September 2012

We heard all the hype about Guri Guri and were told we had to go there and so we did. Not really what I expected. It was a small mom and pop store which I liked cause there's not too many out there now says. I expected to get a ice cream size scoop of their sherbert but instead got a xxxxsmall size of thei strawberry and pineapple goodness. Didn't really care for the strawberry flavored one but the pineapple flavor was good, not too sweet. Not really all there with the hype but is a good and cheap place to go when you just wanna fulfill that little sweet tooth craving.

“Like a Cross Between Sherbert and Sorbet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 September 2012

The place is very small and obviously very popular given the length of the line we waited in. The line went very quickly, though. I had been told that sometimes they have lichee sherbet, but they didn't the day we were there. They had strawberry and pineapple. I got the pineapple. It had an interesting texture, very creamy. It had the strong fruity taste of a sorbet, but the texture was more like a sherbert or ice cream. I would go back if I'm ever in the area again.
