“Wonderful !”
Reviewed 12 March 2014

I was looking for a place to stay while visiting my son who recently moved to Maui from NJ. My daughter and I both loved everything about this B&B. It was extremely comfortable and it was a great location. We truly enjoyed sharing conversation with Eva over a delicious breakfast before we ventured out to enjoy all that Maui has to offer. I will certainly book my next visit here without hesitation.

Room Tip: we loved the Pineapple room and also stayed in the Papaya which was just as nice but a bit bigger.

My husband and I spend one night here before we went to our condo. Eva and Jim are the perfect hosts and the pineapple room was lovely. Both Eva and Jim go out of their way to make sure that you have a very enjoyable vacation. I was kind of sad that we did not choose to stay here longer. If we are ever back in Maui, this will be my first stop or maybe only stop! Thanks for a great start to a wonderful vacation.

We stayed a week at Eva's and Jim's B&B in February. It was fabulous. I was first impressed to be greeted with a welcoming hug. Then we discovered first hand all the positive comments in other reviews were true for us too. Eva graciously allowed our kids and grandbabies to cook and eat supper with us -- and shower -- before catching their late evening flight.back to Canada. She was always very willing to offer suggestions of what to see, where to eat and then she'd print off maps and and directions to make it easy to find. Our room was very clean and the bed really comfortable. The beach or restaurants were a nice 12-15 minute walk way. Hostessing a B&B is definitely Eva's passion and it shows.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Papaya Suite, it was fantastic. Small kitchen/living room with microwave, sink, fri...

My husband and I took a quick visit to maui & wanted to try a B&B. I didn't think he would like it but he said it was his favourite. While the owners weren't there when we arrived I had a very clear map to our room. Eva makes you feel as though her home is yours allowing you in the common area whenever you want. Kihei was a cute little place with shops & restaurants, very central to things. The breakfast was great!!! Above average. She explained that as much as she would've Loved to cook for us, Maui regulations wouldn't allow it. The fresh coffee, full orange juice for each tables, fresh fruit, bread, jams, cereals, granola, muffins, hard boiled eggs& croissants were more than enough, especially for the very reasonable price. Eva is a wonderful host:-) I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 9 nights at the What A Wonderful World B&B and had tears in our eyes when we left to travel onward. The host, Eva, is absolutely the nicest, best and loveliest host. Not only does she run a very comfortable, spacious, clean and super friendly B&B, she is also there to help with tips and tricks around your holidays, finds and organizes activities and generally really cares. Thank you, you have made our holidays just better than we thought they could be. We will be back!!!

We really enjoyed Eva. The room was wonderful. The bed was comfortable. We felt very comfortable like we were at home. The place was very clean. Eva had great advice on things to do around Maui. We would definitely recommend!

Eva is a very friendly and open person. The room was ok and the bathroom was recently renovated and had a spacious shower. The common/breakfast area was not as clean as you would hope and the best you can say of the breakfast was that it was plenty. Boiled eggs, cereals, croissants from Cosco (out of a big box that was still standing on the kitchen counter), bagels probably same source and certainly not "New York quality" but a bit on the dry side. We skipped breakfast the next days (but we saw the next morning that it was essentially the same), not worth it. Would we go back or recommend? No, certainly not, it was not for us. Cleanliness of room and common/breakfast area are a must and a B&B "stands and falls" with a good (homemade) breakfast.

We are so sorry this guest did not have a great experience.

As legal and licensed MauI County Bed and Breakfast, License number BBKM2009/0005

We try to offer as much of variety as possible at breakfast for our guests, fresh island fruits and berries, variety of cereals, at least two types of sliced breads, bagels, croissants, muffins, scones, jellies and jams, teas, coffee, juices while staying within the confines of Maui County Laws and regulations

Maui County Law prohibits B&B from cooking and preparing any food items at all. We can serve fruit, juices, and items made at an established and licensed food services and distributors It is not even possible to get a license that allows a Bed and Breakfast to cook in any way.

The penalty for preparing "homemade breakfast" is loosing our license to operate a Bed and Breakfast in Maui County.
