Dreams Come True on Maui Bed and Breakfast

Tom and Denise were our life savers during our visit to Maui in May, 2013.
My husband had a medical emergency on our last day of vacation and was hospitalized for 2 days. We had to change our plane reservations, car rental and find another place to stay for our extended time because the place we were staying was completely booked and we had to get out.
Tom and Denise's place was right down the street from where we were originally staying.
A phone call was made and a room was available to us. I spent the day at the hospital with my husband. When I arrived at Dreams Come True on Maui B&B at 8:00 PM, Tom was waiting in the driveway for me, our luggage was in the room and he showed me the room, the facility and all the amenities which were available. They made me feel very comfortable in a strange place without my husband. I felt very safe and welcome. Breakfast, of course, was included and it was exceptional. Denise does her own baking and there are several choices for breakfast each day. Your order is taken the night before and left outside your door at the time you requested the next morning.
Tom and Denise are perfect hosts and they went way out of their way for us. They even allowed us to have a very late checkout due to our flight delay. It was much better staying at the beach longer than sitting at the airport. The property itself could use a little re-modeling but it is clean and comfortable and we were happy to have a place to lay our heads at such short notice.
We even got a an anniversary card when Tom and Denise learned we were in Hawaii celebrating our special event. These are very special people and we are very grateful to them.

Room Tip: Our room was in the back of the house with a garden view...very private and secure enough to leave t...

i would rather spend my money on boat diving. staying on the water is pricey in maui. dreams come true is a 5 minute drive to the beaches of south maui. i felt safe and secure while staying at this b and b. quiet residential area with killer views of molokini from the very spacious front deck.
i will be back.

We selected Dreams Come True on Maui for a much needed vacation and were delighted once again. We have stayed at Tom and Denise’s lovely B &B several times over the years. This time we were on Maui for 17 days and could only book two weeks in the cottage. Tom and Denise accommodated us in the Rainforest suite for the additional three days. We were able to enjoy the laidback setting of a B & B, and Denise’s wonderful breakfasts, and then settled in to the homey atmosphere of the Cottage. The newly redone bath and kitchen, with all of the requirements for gourmet cooking, were a joy.

Tom and Denise provide a perfect setting for a short or prolonged stay. The cottage is very private and encourages a relaxing juncture. We hope to have an opportunity to return soon.

Room Tip: We love the cottage

Terrific place to stay. All kinds of water equipment for guests to use free of charge. Lots of elegant little extras on the breakfast trays. Tom is a great expert on interesting and unusual area visits. I will be returning!

Room Tip: Actually no pool. Unable to erase the rating.

Caring and thoughtful bed and breakfast. We were impressed by the healthy breakfast choices, amazing aviary/koi pond, complimentary room snacks, beautiful BBQ area and the friendliness and local knowledge of proprieters Tom and Denyse. We used the guest beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel equiment and food cooler at the beach ever day we were there. Great prices allow you to stay in south Kihei within easy drive of Big Beach. We vow to return, Aloha!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and everything was amazing!

The hosts:
Tom and Denise were great hosts. They were completely open to getting to know their guests, but in a way that didn't feel like you had to. Anytime we needed anything they were right there to give us advice on what to do, where to go, or just help us out. They went above and beyond, letting us borrow sweatshirts to go watch the sunrise (which is freezing by the way) and sharing cookies and wine with us when we were hanging out in the common area.

Breakfast:
Every morning you have a choice of four items off of the menu, plus drink. There were different choices of breads, cereals, fruit, muffins, juice, and other things. We usually got fruit, yogurt, bread, and Denise's homemade muffins- which are different every day and always delicious! It was a perfect breakfast setup for us. Enough to fill us up, but light enough to not leave us feeling weighed down as we headed off for a day of adventure. Also there are 2 delivery times, I think 6:30 and 8:30. Our last morning there we had to leave even earlier, so Denise had our breakfast ready to go the night before for us to take on the go.

Room:
We were in the rainforest suite. Some say the rooms are small, but for us it was perfect, especially with our private outdoor deck where we ate our breakfast every morning. It is probably slightly less room than a standard hotel room size, but at a much greater price, and felt much more clean and homey than any hotel. Queen size bed, BIG shower, plenty of storage for clothes. There is also a small fridge which we did end up using and a coffee pot, coffee provided. I also read someone not liking that they didn't clean the room, which is true, but I would prefer that way, and did not expect them to.

Overall:
We were looking for a B & B for the personal feel that you don't get in a hotel, and better breakfasts. We didn't plan on being in our room too much, so we also were looking to not spend much money on it. With almost every hotel on Maui being 3x the price of this place, I don't see why anyone would opt for a hotel. Overall our trip to Hawaii was amazing, and a lot of that is thanks to our 5 night stay at Dreams Come True on Maui. Couldn't have dreamed a better honeymoon!

Room Tip: We were in the rainforest suite. Some say the rooms are small, but for us it was perfect, especiall...
