Great sushi, but old style. No fufu rolls, just plain good ole nigiri sushi and classic rolls. Pricey but worth it.

Beautiful dishes, the owner himself prepares your plates. Simple but delicious, fresh, authentic Japanese cuisine.

I believe that this was the best sushi that i have ever had. We had rolls and sushimi and both were excellent. Most of the other reviews have already said it but here goes again...the location is in a strip center, next door to one of the best italian restauants on the island, also a hole in the wall! But you don't eat atmosphere, only food. Much better to have great food and no atmosphere than lots of atmosphere and lousy food! The server tells you that you have to wait as she is the only server and there is only one sushi chef / ower. So make a reservation, chill out, enjoy and remember to slow down - this aint the mainland!

Amazing sushi - actually the best I have eaten and I have had sushi in over 15 different countries from Japan (Tokyo and Sapporo) to Australia to the UK and so many between. If you are serious about food go here. The service is not bad like some people say. Maybe Americans like to be fawned over so they think its poor if the server is not all over you. If you want incredible fresh and honest sushi-sashimi the just come here, do book in advance and wait patiently, it's truly worth it.

We were a little uneasy about the looks of this place when we first drove up. It looks like a laundry mat in a strip mall. However, we decided to give it a go. We were pleasantly surprised to find out the sushi was delicious. You could really see that the sushi chef took great care in preparing each dish. The sashimi had huge pieces of fish and all very, very fresh. The atmosphere and server (she was so grumpy and a bit scary) left a lot to be desired; but do try it for the food. It was not that expensive as you have to remember that you are on Maui. Everything is higher priced then home.
