“New ownership - good Thai food”
Reviewed 20 November 2013

This restaurant came highly recommended by several locals, and we were not disappointed. We ordered six different dishes and an appetizer -- and we left satisfied with the food. We wanted to give this place 5 stars, but the location (back end of a strip mall), and the BYOB factor make it impossible to compete with other locations where the ambience and liquor flow freely. If, however, you are looking for some Thai food while you are on the island - give this place a try. There is a liquor store less than 100 feet from the front door where we were able to purchase Saporro for our meal.

“New Restaurant Has Many Kinks to Iron Out”
Reviewed 19 November 2013

We arrived at the dinner rush on Saturday night and were very pleased when the host went that extra mile to find us a seat within a few minutes. We were advised that the kitchen just got slammed and we should order some appetizers if we wanted to have something to eat right away. Taking the cue, our table ordered two appetizers which came out rather quickly and were very tasty. But then our server disapeared for well over half an hour and we sat there for over an hour waiting for our mains. This wouldn't have been so bad if we hadn't seen another table seated after us not only get their food before us, but they had time to eat and leave long before our food came. We were told some excuse about that table needing to catch a flight so they moved their order up. Then we were told that the kitchen was just starting to cook our food and it would only be three minutes. Three minutes to cook? Makes me wonder how fresh and to order they are making their meals. Now about the food. While it was tasty our entire table did not feel it was good value. When you're paying $22 for a duck curry, you kind of expect more than a couple slices of pepper and less than 2 oz of meat. By the end of the meal we felt cheated of our money and time. I asked politely for something to be complimentary given that we ordered appies as suggested to help out the kitchen rush and our meals were still pushed behind another table (maybe more). The manager offered us some icecream instead. :( We had a very tired three year old with us who had already been sitting in this restauraunt for 1.5 hours I explained to our server and again asked for something to be taken off the bill. In the end they did, which was appreciated. I'll give them that the service (when they came around) was very friendly, there seemed to be lots of staff and the food tasted good. But to be successful I think they need to give you a bit more for the money you spend. I also think the amount of people they can seat in the restaurant is more than the kitchen can handle.

“Average Thai with a strange atmosphere”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

Firstly, the food was pretty good. We got green papaya salads to start followed by two curries and rice. No complaints with any of the dishes. However, the service and atmosphere were just strange. When we arrived the host just looked at us and said "what do you want?" Well a table for two would be a start. We felt rushed, were brought the bill without being asked if we wanted a dessert and we were never asked if we wanted a drink.

“Excellent Thai food”
Reviewed 14 November 2013 via mobile

The flavors are amazing. I had pan seared Ahi Ahi with macadamia nuts in Masaman curry. Restaurant appears very clean and well lit. Easy to get a table. A little pricey. Service was a little slow, but nice staff.

“Nice surprise”
Reviewed 2 November 2013

Excellent classic thai food. The restaurant was hard to find, at the end of a shopping lane. However, it was worth the effort. Qe visited it twice, and tried many dishes. We particularly liked the beef salad, the coconut lemon soup, with fresh kaffir lime leaves and galanga, and the choices of curries. There is no need for doggy bags, as you will finish your plate. BOB., check for two $70.
