Don't miss this! They work very hard to educate us about the humpback whales...It's worth every minute!

Glad we visited here. Was there in time for talk - learnt so much more about Humpback Whales and why so many whales visit Hawaii at this time of year. Also about the damage that can be done by humans discarding nets etc in the sea. One of our party was visually impaired and he found it very informative to feel a model of a whale.

We finally got all our answers to what the humpback whales were doing in Maui. The volunteers, film and displays were wonderful and we left there much more appreciative of the huge, docile whales that we watched from the shore daily.

Exhibits were limited. There are 2 videos, one generally about humpback whales and the other about devastating problem of debris entangling whales and attempt to rescue them. they are rebuilding pond behind visitor center.
