We were staying in Wailea and I didn't fancy getting up at the crack of dawn to drive round for the early start of some of the molokini tours, although we did want a morning tour as we heard the waters got rougher and murkier in the afternoon. Kai Kanani was a 9am start and 5 mins away from our condo. Check in was a breeze and complimentary valet much appreciated. The sail time was short so we got lots of time at molokini and turtle town. The crew were very good at pointing out the turtles. Lunch was sandwiches, crisps, fruit, nothing fancy but we didn't book the tour for the food. The young guys on the crew spent a bit too much time with one family in particular (I think the 3 giggly teen girls were the attraction), it would have been nice if the interacted a bit more with all the passengers.

We did the Sunset Sail from Makena Beach. This is a must do in Maui. The sail was incredible. Captain Anthony was fantastic. Staff was amazing. They went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. On board ukelele music added to the great atmosphere. I would do it every night on the island, if I could.

Did the Sunset Cruise this week and it was very nice with GREAT staff who are informative and fun. Please note; Chances are VERY good you WILL get wet getting on and off of this boat! That being said; Ladies, WEAR A SUIT with a cover-up or sundress over it. Men, good idea to wear your trunks and a shirt and above all LISTEN TO THE CREW! When they say "GO GO GO"....it means GO! You might have to hold cameras, purses, etc HIGH overhead to keep from getting soaked.
DO take this cruise if you want a great sunset cruise with a FANTASTIC staff who provide good drinks and small plate type food (cheeses, crackers, meatballs, etc). But...(pay close attention here, people!) DO NOT take this cruise if you are looking for an adults only, quiet evening!!!!! We did not pay attention and although we love children, I would have preferred to NOT have 15 kids under the age of 12 running around the ship while trying to have a nice drink, watch a gorgeous sunset and listen to the ukelele : )

I am so glad we did this . It's very easy to get to the location . Food was good but the staff was great . We have 2 twin boys that are 8 and they has an easy time due to the professionalism of the staff. We saw so many fish and at least 3 turtles . Boat is very smooth so if you get motion sickness this is the trip to do . Well worth the $! I am so glad we did it .
