They said the gardens had been completely redone, but it appeared the redo was the reception area, which was quite nice. The gardens themselves were overgrown and full of mosquitoes. They did give us mosquito spray to keep with us, which was entirely necessary, but there wasn't much left in the bottle and we used it up quickly. There were lots of interesting plants and flowers, but many of the signs were in disrepair, so we did not always know what we were looking at.

“If you love gardens, you have to see Enchanting Floral Gardens!!!”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

When we pulled into the driveway today (the free map handed out at the airport shows the garden on the wrong side of highway 37), the colorful plants flanking the walkway to the entrance already conveyed that Enchanting Floral Gardens is no average botanical garden.

Brought into existence by two owners of Japanese descent it now offers a large variety of fruit and nut trees - from a Macadamia to Hawaiian oranges, Lychee, Lilikoi and many more - as well as most colorful flowers and bushes. As it is right around the corner from Kula Botanical Garden, anyone interested in plants should try to see both of them. They are quite different, and very much complementary, not in competition.

What left a lasting impression at Enchanting Floral Gardens was its caretaker - his knowledge, willingness to spend time with visitors and explain not just the plants but how the property came to be what it is. The green tea he made for us was wonderful, and so were the fruits from the garden that he shared.

Enchanting Floral Gardens is one of the very few places I would visit again every time that I return to Maui - it is that unique.

“A beautiful garden in the making”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

The gardens are being worked on but have great potential. There are some beautiful sections but other sections need more work.
Bathroom facilities are good and the cafe serves good food and smoothies. Breakfast and lunch available, reasonably priced.
