My stay at the KBH will always be a memorable one as it was my first trip to Hawaii. The KBH is walking distance from great restaurants and shopping and is located on beautiful well kept grounds. The hotel is a bit older than most but it doesn't really matter. The beds are comfortable, the staff is very friendly and helpful and as a whole to put it in one word, Charming! I would absolutely return to this hotel if I get the chance to go back to Maui.
Also, the Tiki Terrace restaurant located on the property was outstanding. I think I ate Mahi Mahi everyday. We also enjoyed the free nightly entertainment.
Upon departure, they have a lei ceremony and tell you that you are part of the KBH family. The lei is made of beautiful kukui nuts. They ask you to bring your lei back with you each visit so they can restring it and add different kukui nuts (lighter color nuts, I believe) to it. This lei won't die like the floral ones. So, if you are planning a trip to Maui think about staying at the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel, it truly has a great Hawaiian laid back feel. More
