Owner description: At Wailele Polynesian Luau dinner show, guests will embark on an exciting journey to the Polynesian Islands where dance was considered not just as a form of entertainment, but as a means of telling stories. Recognized for providing an award-winning experience, the luau is held oceanfront at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa and features dances and songs from old and modern Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, New Zealand (Maori), Tonga and Samoa. Highlights include the story of Pele (Goddess of Fire), Hi'ilave Hula Awana dedicated to Wailele (meaning waterfalls) and Maui's most extreme fire knife dance finale called "Siva Afi". The unforgettable evening of fun, culture and entertainment is complemented by a traditional dinner served buffer style and selection of beverages.

We attended this luau last week. It was raining part of the time and there wasn't enough shelter for everyone. The staff brought towels but expected 3 of our family members to share. If you are looking for an authentic Hawaiian luau, this is not the luau you want to attend. The show was not that good. All of the dances seemed the same with different costumes. The food was not good. We spent $105 per person and it was the worst value for our money we experienced while in Maui. I would not recommend this luau.

Definately a great time, really impressed compared to another luau we had attended in the past .
Food was tasty , and a great selection for everyone . Bar service was great , drinks were good. They made sure the drinks were flowing during entire time . (All included in price)
Entertainment was great , even tossed in a little comedy with the show. Highlight was hands down the firedancing and hula dancers , our daughter was even called up to close the show (which was super exciting and made her night complete !)
Downfall was equal high price for kids , which obviously do not drink and eat as much as an adult .
The other downfall was local vendor selling goods she passed off as handmade by herself for $15 and found identical item at ABC gift store for $3.99 next day . Also many other of her "handmade" items were there as well.
Would def do this one again , was a memorable night for the entire family ..worth seeing !

We had a great time at this Luau. At one point my husband became a part of the show and was pulled on stage which was a great memory for us. The servers were wonderful and made sure not to interrupt while the show went on. The food was really good and they kept the drinks flowing.

I would highly recommend sunglasses for the beginning of the show. As the sun was in our eyes for a little bit early on. The performance overall was fantastic. They kept the crowd involved the whole time.

We had a group of 17 people attend this Luau and everyone loved it! Great from beginning to end. Loved the host. He was very funny! Dancers were great! Food was very good (except poi--which everyone should try to say you had it). Don't know how the fire dancers do it--we were sitting on front row and could feel the heat. We paid for premium seating which was well worth it. Everyone was so nice and eager to help out if you had a question. Would definitely recommend this Luau!!!!

We have been to about 4 different Luaus on Maui and this one is the best. The host was very funny, the dancers were great, and the fire guys are wonderful. The food was very good and the drinks were ok ( most luaus the drinks are watered down .... and about the same here ) My wife wasn't crazy about going to another Luau .... but I had already planned this ... so we went ... now we are saying that this one is the ONLY one we want to go to ..... thats how much fun we had.
