Owner description: At Wailele Polynesian Luau dinner show, guests will embark on an exciting journey to the Polynesian Islands where dance was considered not just as a form of entertainment, but as a means of telling stories. Recognized for providing an award-winning experience, the luau is held oceanfront at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa and features dances and songs from old and modern Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, New Zealand (Maori), Tonga and Samoa. Highlights include the story of Pele (Goddess of Fire), Hi'ilave Hula Awana dedicated to Wailele (meaning waterfalls) and Maui's most extreme fire knife dance finale called "Siva Afi". The unforgettable evening of fun, culture and entertainment is complemented by a traditional dinner served buffer style and selection of beverages.

Paid for premium seating. Waste of money. Food was fair. Childrens table better with the pizza and veggie sticks. Sound system for mc was hard to understand. Dancers were great. Too bad you cant just go see the dancers.

$130 dollar preferred seating gets you watered down drinks, terrible service, cheap shell necklace (not a flower lei, they cost $10)' processed chicken parts that have pre-burned grill marks, and terrible tasteless white fish. There is a real small stage that only fits 4 dancers. They switch men and women that change the dances just a little. The fire twirler dropped his flaming stick 3 times and caught the stage on fire but just a little. The deserts were Walmart quality from a box. This was the worst show we experienced in Maui. Stay Away. Also to say you can see the beach is not true. They also sell cheap trinkets and your photos for a price. It's like a cheap circus that charges you for everything. Lastly the preferred seating moves you up 5 rows. You could see fine from the last row. Disney's luau was 10 times better.

I loved this Luau, especially since it was located in the Westin Maui Resort and Spa, which happened to be where I was staying. The food is buffet style, you can select anything you want on the menu. There is an open bar, so you have a selection of mixed drinks, champagne, or beer. I loved the show itself, the host was very funny and fire show throughout was great.

My sweetie and I shared a table with a few other couples, which was great because we had a chance to meet other people and be social with other fellow hotel guests. I would definitely go back as it was a great show and atmosphere.

At the Westin hotel, no bad seat in the luau. Great food, entertainment and open bar. Photo taken with one of the performers you can purchase, and some vendors there.

The best luau was the Wailele Luau offered by the Westin Maui. Cocktails were offered throughout the evening. Pictures with the featured dancer was great! Lots of unique trinkets to purchase at reasonable prices. Preferred seating for only a little extra money. This luau featured a buffet which offered Hawaiian entrees; quite delicious except poi. The show was terrific and featured dancers from several of the Polynesian Island cultures. A unique experience and quite and enjoyable evening especially the five ring fire dancers. Really a best bet for good food and a great show.
