My wife and I stayed here in celebration of our anniversary. The hotel staff were friendly and the room was clean. We stayed for 5 days and thuroughly enjoyed ourselves. A tip for anyone staying here though, wear water shoes if you are going into the ocean. Both my wife and I ended up with cuts to the bottom of our feet. The beaches in this area are very rocky.

12 days at Honua Kai Resort. Great place, clean and quality throughout. The food is excellent in the restaurant ($15 for a good breakfast plus $ for the coffee) Dinner runs about $30-45). The beach nice with LOTS of fish to see when snorkeling. We arrived at around midnight and it would have been nice to have a beer, but nothing was open and no bar in the rooms. 5 minutes walking distance across the road is a supermarket that carries anything you need. The cafeteria at the resort is EXPENSIVE.
Stop at WALMART on your way in. About 15 minutes from the airport and on your way to the resort. They got everything you need at a fraction of the cost at the resort or even at the supermarket.
The coffee in the rooms got replenished, but we had to ask for it a few times. Wireless is good. Beach chairs and loungers are for rent, which we did not like. When paying for quality, they should not nickel and dime. We did neither when we booked.
If you are a beach potatoe, you won`t need a rental car. Buy what you need at the store across the road. Saves you lots of $$$.
We still recommend it, since it was a quality stay after all and should we go back, we will stay there again, but with more knowledge of how to.

Room Tip: Ocean view - definitely or enjoy the mountains and the parking lot along with the highway.

The condos were clean elegant and spacious. We had the use of a full kitchen and what we travellers love....our own washer and dryer! It was like having all the comforts of home while away. The hotel j

My husband and I and two friends rented a 3 Bdr / 3 ba condo #625 at this amazing place. Everything was wonderful from the fabulous kitchen and comfortable beds to the 75” tv. The long patio in the center of the 6th floor had a gorgeous view over the pool and out to the ocean. Was expensive but worth it. Beach towels were forgotten and with one message to our contact, 6 were here the next AM. Would love to come again

Check-in was a nice experience. We arrived early and they let us use the aloha lounge to rest, which feels like a nice suite itself. Then about an hour later they called and our room was ready. The room was a suite facing the Westin Nahea next door. Suite was very very clean and I inspected the sheets and mattresses, everything was new. Even the pull-out sofa bed, which I thought may be really dirty, was very clean. It goes to tell you that the housekeeping staff really pay attention to details. The bathroom was very clean and nicely renovated. They only do come to clean your room every other day though.

The resort area is great and the atmosphere is festive. Food at Dukes was okay the drinks were kinda weak. The beach is quiet and very close to the resort; calm and clean water. Whaler's general store on-site was convenient but kinda small. Valet parking was okay. The pool towel service was a little confusing at first but we figured it out. The staff work hard here and it is maintained to well. The only thing I think can be improved is to provide more light at night.

overall, it was a great property, I would definitely stay here again!
