Ask for an outside table when you make your reservation. This will give you seating next to the Koi pond with a great view of the ocean and the sunset. The view will add to the wonderful experience you're are about to undertake. While they have all the regular Italian dishes it's the seafood dishes that really set Pulehu apart from other Italian restaurants. Not to mention that all the food is cooked over an open flame you are in for a real treat.

While you'll be tempted to jump right into the main course, don't miss their delicious Caesar Salads and their fire cooked flatbread pizza's. The lasagna (pictured below) was amazingly flavorful and piping hot. Scallops (also pictured) are wonderful every time. Oh and last but not least a great wine list has been put together by the owner.

Located at the Westin Kaanapali North along Kaanapali beach.

Great Italian food. We really enjoy our experience. But you will need a reservation if you want to dine before 8:30pm.

“great food”
Reviewed 28 August 2014

The setting is good. Quiet, but do have the occasional kids. Good variety of food. We always had the 3 course meal which included appetizer, entrée and dessert. Server was great, we went back twice because of her service and food. I recommend seafood courses like fish, scallop and calamari.

“Comfort food, yet tasty”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

All dishes have distinct tastes, not your classic italian dinner stop, super kid friendly too. They sat our group of 9 in a private room and the kids could be loud and no one could hear them. (nice touch Pulehu). We would book dinner at 5:30 and enjoy the classic sunset as the tiki's are lit.

“Some Good - Some MOR”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

Pulehu boasts that it is an award winning Italian restaurant. The setting and ambience in front of a spectacular Koi pond at the Westin Villas at Ka'anapali certainly works its magic. The appetizers were very good - the calamari was truly unique and excellent. The short ribs, however, were bland and very disappointing - great for a cafeteria or old age home, where taste is optional. Really folks, try a bit of spice and zap. The scallops were "O.K." but nothing to get excited about. The desserts were good. The wine list is substantial and has a good range of unique choices.

Amy the server was awesome - friendly, professional and personable; definitely the highlight of our dinner there. Thanks Amy!

If you want to spend this kind of money, we would recommend going elsewhere. The chef needs to discover the world of spice and flavour beyond presentation. It is Maui after all.
