“The location is terrific and rooms beautifully renovated”
Reviewed 23 December 2009

The Outrigger Aina Nalu condos have been beautifully renovated and are mere blocks to the shops and restaurants on Front Street in Lahaina. You could not ask for a better location in Lahaina, close to everything but VERY quiet. We had a good-sized one bedroom unit, the AC worked well and my wife loved the in-unit washer and dryer. We packed less because we knew we could do laundry as we needed, and the condos even supply detergent free each day. Our only criticisms: 1). They could do more about the cleanliness of the pillows and bedspreads--we have allergies and the first day woke up with stuffy noses due to the dust but were able to wash the bedding and everything was fine; 2). we should have asked for a unit with a lanai to enjoy the peaceful evenings; and 3). they charge $15 day for parking (don't bother as there is plenty of free street parking and they charge for wired in-room internet service ($9.95/day). If your condo is near the front desk or back pool, you may be able to pick up their free unsecured wireless access as we did. Would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately during our stay, the card reader on our door died and we had to ask the front desk a couple times to send a maintenance guy to fix it since we were locked out. It didn't help that they also coded our new rooms cards wrong and we weren't able to get in to the room again later that evening. They do not have a restaurant on site, although the resort is walking distance to many restaurants. The pools are clean albeit crowded. The resort is non-smoking except for two designated smoking areas hidden by trees and impossible to get to when the sprinkler system is running.

We stayed at the Aina Nalu for 6 nights last week. The Aina Nalu is 2 blocks off of Front Street, the main street in Lahaina, so it's close to everything. Condos have been recently remodeled, fully appointed kitchen, bath with washer/dryer and they included detergent. Bed was so comfortable we were trying to find the mattress tag to see what kind it was so we could buy one! Grounds were nicely kept, 2 nice pools and grilles for your use. We did pay for parking, as it seemed to us the parking on the street was very cramped and a spot was not always available at the time we were getting back to the condo. Housekeeping was great. Only problem was some very tiny ants or spiders that tended to like the bathroom and kitchen. Overall a great choice for the money.

We stayed at this property for three nights and found it to be very comfortable and clean. It is in a nice location, close to the downtown area Lahaina. The only problem I had was getting connected to the wrong room when I was trying to reach friends also staying at the hotel.

So, first of all, we were traveling with me (I am a 16 yr old Girl) and my parents. We are from the oregon coast, and pretty laid back, don't like dressing up to much, and my mom LOVES to walk on the beach.
This trip we have stayed at the Ala Moana (oahu) and the Westin as well as the Aina Nalu. I would Choose the Aina Nalu everytime, and wished we could have stayed there the entire trip (actually i am currently in the guest bedroom of the Westin and am longing for the days in Aina Nalu)
We Stayed in H108, and booked through a private party, the owner, rather than the company, so i can't tell you much about that. It seemed a very good price, and the moment dad and i walked in we both commented on how we could live there.
The Building was a little difficult to find, but once we asked directions it was no problem what-so-ever.
I must warn you, parking is not free, rather $15 a day, but we just parked on the street, as did many others for free.
This condo had 2 bedrooms, 1 bath with an AWESOME new slate/granite bathroom, 3 t.v's, 2 ipod docs/speakers/radios. A Full Kitchen (i am a culinary student, and the kitchen even suited me) that came stocked with oil, salt, pepper, coffee, coffee filters, Herbs... all the things you will want a little of, but can't buy in that small of amounts.
the bedrooms were comfy, with TONS of pillows, a washer and dryer (No Detergant though!) The only thing i could prefer was a dresser set, or at least shelves in the Smaller bedroom, since i had to stack my clothing on the floor when un packing. There is also no AC in this room, so it gets a little...warm. But there is AC in the other bedroom and living room, so if you keep the door open you are fine.
The Carpets are BRAND new, as is everything else.
The Condo is furnished in a very casual, comfy way, not tacky, but still adding in the little hawaiian touches here and there.
So only things i would add are: Laundry Detergant (at least a trial pack), shelves in the guest bed, and internet in the room. Free wifi at the pools/office but not in room.
The Grounds are cared for great, the pools are nice (i warn thee with small children, the smaller pools depth is NOT correct. When it said 5' I couldn't touch on my toes (in 5'5)
The bigger pool is great for laps, but is the same depth all around. They have more than enough chairs and bed-type lounge huts. Cabana is available with internet hook ups and wifi, lounge chairs, bar-b-q...
also, another thing on the side, I forgot my cellphone on Oahu, and had it shipped here. B/c the owner had rejected all resort amenities, they said they would refuse the package. I spent every day for 4 days waiting in the lobby for a few hours for the mail to show up. and the day that it did show up (i could only recieve it if i was waiting for it, else they would send it back) she accepted everything and the guy left without her even looking at the package... but oh well, she was nice enough.

Great location to! 1 block off front street and the ocean, a couple blocks from a food store...

So all in all, this was a great establishment, i would stay here again, i would live there... and i would reccomend it to ANYONE! (remember this is a condo, NOT a luxery resort. Its homey, but there are NOT people there at your beck and call.)

I actually stayed there a year and a half ago, but I loved the place so much I had to sign in and give it an amazing review. The accommodations are beyond expectations for the very affordable price. The condos are amazing, nicer than any place I've ever lived! We felt like we were the only people staying in the resort. The pool was fantastic, with a spectatcular mountain setting in the distance. Very quite, within walking distant to the Lahaina strip. We rented a jeep and drove to big mountain (Haleakala?), did the road to Hana, which was very memorable and hit all the popular beaches! This resort made my trip to Maui an all around fantastic adventure!
