We just returned from Maui on 10/25. We stayed at the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel. There was practically nobody on the beach. You have Black Rock to snorkel at and you have Whalers Village to shop and dine. All the hotels on Ka'anapali Beach are connected by a boardwalk. Everything is within a 10 min walk of each other. Will definately stay her again.

Absolutely beautiful. and clear, calm waves. Be careful the sand gets extremely hot. Take a walk down the beach.

Around black rock, snorkeling is great. There is a good variety of fishes, octopus, even turtles sometimes!
Surf near the Marriott hotel is great for beginners :)
There are lots of activities to do.

It's not a beach I go to to swim, as I like the cozier areas, but it has a great strand for a medium length, flat walk (I'll do it at least twice), plenty of restaurants if you want to stop for a meal, coffee or drinks, and a stunning view of the divers off Black Rock at sunset. If you're staying at one of the hotels along the way, it does make a great beach for swimming and snorkeling if you don't want to get in your car and go elsewhere.....everything you need is at your fingertips.

Nice beach to visit - lots of sand and activities - but there are too many people from the surrounding resorts. With all the resorts you can walk into and sit in their hammocks and swim in their pools, but if you are looking for relaxation, there really are too many people visiting this beach.
