This is a special point. Be careful swimming out as the tides can be strong. If you are comfortable with the ocean, there is absolute beauty around the edge. Please do not touch the turtles.

“Great place to spend the day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 December 2013

This beach has a lot going for it. It's gorgeous and very big. If you want some drinks and food you can go grab some at the restaurants on the beach. Great mai tais for happy hour. Can also be a great place for snorkeling close to black rock. It can be crowded at times, but I've seen much worse.

“Warm and exciting waters”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 December 2013

I am not a great swimmer, but I was comfortable cooling off several times a day in the waters of Ka'anapali Beach. The waves are not big - they are smaller the closer you move toward Black Rock (Sheraton) and bigger at the Marriott / Hyatt end. So you can always sit on a floatie or boogie board somewhere. Beach is 100% fine sand and clean (no foreign objects!). Slope is great for lying down / reading without blood rushing to your head. Not the best for walking at the water's edge (one leg needs to be 6" or more shorter than the other) but there is a paved beach walkway linking one end to the other. Snorkelling is best at Black Rock.

“PARADISE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 December 2013

This is our favorite beach to vacation. We have teenagers and this is the place for our family. You can rent a cabana and enjoy a day at the beach. Or, jump off Black Rock and enjoy the surf until sunset. Walk to Whaler's Village for lunch or shopping. It doesn't get any better then this for a beach vacation destination!

“Nice, But crowded”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 December 2013

Crowded "Resort" beach. Their are way better beaches with a better view, and way less people and kids crying and screaming.
