There is a free three hour parking lot on the corner of Front and Prison street in Lahaina. It is a ticket trap. We saw the sign and pulled in and parked along with the other cars. The buses only sign was hidden by a vehicle. Evidently the section in the middle is for buses only and the paint on the lot is faded. I looked on goggle earth and it showed up well but not for us when we were there. We ate at cool cats and then shopped around. Has a shave ice across the street from the lot and then when getting in to leave we noticed a folded piece of paper under the wiper blade. Several other cars had one as well. I thought it was an ad for an excursion. Nope, It was a $60 dollar parking ticket. I wrote a letter to the Judge explaining but still had to pay. I think this trap is a sad way to reward tourist. The only sign we saw pulling into the lot was a free 3 hour parking sign. I took a picture of it. Visiting Lahaina was a real damper for our trip to Maui. Be very careful where you park.

This attraction encompasses many other attractions - the Harbor, the day tours, the historical locations, the shops and restaurants, snorkeling, sailing, surfing and other providers and many others.
Suffice to say that Front Street is a must-do for any visitor to Maui - even if you stay down in Kihei or Wailea, make a day trip to Lahaina and have a blast!

This is a wonderful township, with "Front St" being one of the main attractions, there are a great variety of shops and restaurants and my wife and I shopped for a couple of hours here. We had lunch over the water in a beautiful restaurant, we both were tempted by the shops and spent money on bargains there. After which we went for a swim nearby and on the way back purchased their famous shaved ice, which was just delicious. my wife took some photos of the big banyan tree in the town square. Something for everyone.

Always a place to find whatever you need. Food, jewelry, clothing, housewares, whatever! And right in the middle is the best shave ise EVER at Ululani's. Front Street is always the place to stop and shop.
