My wife and I recently stayed at The Fairmont and The Grand Wailea in Maui for business purposes in 2007, but our home away from home is The Kuleana. We were married on the pristine grounds in April 2006 by a native Hawaiian Priestess and after the ceremony we extended our one week stay by 2 days. That is our testimony as to how much we appreciate the accommodations at the Kuleana because it was so nice we didn't want to go home. The Kuleana really embodies the Maui laid-back life style as the staff is friendly, the condos are ultra clean, it's walking distance to the local farmer's market and shopping center, there are tons of turtles to observe, rainbows to contemplate (of course), and the pool is one of the best in the area- plus the view from the grounds toward Molokai is dream like.
It's the kind of place that my wife and I dream about going back to. I'm sure that you will have the same rewarding Hawaiian experience if you stay there.
It's always nice to stay at a place that you can call home.
It should be noted that the Kuleana's landscaping contains some of the most significant native Hawaiian flora of all the local vacation spots so don't forget your camera.More
