This was really a fun trip and good meal. All eleven of us left from the wedding party on vacation had a wonderful time. Since we had a larger group we had the back center tables and it was a beautiful sunset that night.

Entertainment was not necessary as we had lively conversations and as stated above it was a beautiful and calm evening.

Do this.

Thank JLDiane

We did the Sunset Dinner Cruise with Royal Luau. This is a must do with a great value. The luau was one of the best things my wife and I did on our whole trip. You get unlimited drinks and all you can eat food which was very tasty. They had a few crafts for sale on the way in and I bought my wife an awesome lei and we got a couple cool hand made bracelets. The next night we did the sunset dinner cruise. I had the prime rib and she had the vegetarian dish both of which were delicious. We sat right in front which was perfect to hang out and listen to the musician as well as do a little dancing. The staff on the boat was great, the Mai Tai and Blue Hawaii drinks were delicious and the views were amazing. I wouldn't go to Maui without experiencing this!

Went on the two hour whale watching trip on the motor catamaran "Kaulana" last day in January 2012 with Hawaii Ocean Project. We took the last departure around 2 p.m. The guides (Reed and Rachelle I think) were very knowledgeable and good at engaging the tourists aboard. Not even five minutes from the harbor we saw the first whale breach and when the trip ended two hours later we had probably seen more then 60 whales. Two of them got so close to the ship that captain Kim had to slow down and eventually stop the engine. They swam around us back and forth under the ship and spy hopped to get a glimpse of the silly yelling tourists for a long time. Amazing sight! The trip costs around 25 dollars per person and is absolutely worth it. The money goes to research.

We booked the sunset cocktail cruise and hoped to see whales also. We saw more whales then the 12 noon whale watch cruise we took the next day. I don't recommend the middle of the day for whale watching. The sunset cruise was nicely done, mai-tais were good and they had nice pupus. The crew worked hard for everyone.

This was a great half day trip. We saw a couple of turtles, tons of fish, and were lucking enough to be there during humpback whale migrating season as well!
