We love that you never have to drive anywhere once you get here from the airport...biking or walking into Lahaina for groceries, restaurants, bars and happy hour is only 10-20 mins away..lovely walk or bike ride with the ocean always in your view...gorgeous sunsets from your lanai if you choose to stay in...the grounds of the property well maintained and family friendly with 3 pools if the ocean is not your thing..also has tennis courts and badminton courts.... managed by Whalers realty - a great local company that is in tune with all your needs.

We stayed for a week in this delightful Condo just steps from the ocean. It is really well appointed with 3 bedrooms, 3 baths and great open living space and Lanai. The property has lovely gardens and grass surrounding and you can lounge in a hammock right at the water's edge or jump in and paddleboard and catch waves. There is everything you need provided in the kitchen and throughout to have a wonderful vacation. The Owners were great to deal with and very accommodating and we would go back in a heartbeat. We loved the set-up and loved the proximity to Lahaina and restaurants and bars. We would stay in this Condo again but for longer.
The location is perfect-- this waterfront property is close to beach front activities and a short walk to the cultural delights of Lahaina. However, it's well situated away from the crowds and guarantees a serene seaside experience. Splash away in the ocean all day and then recuperate on the quiet deck and enjoy the sunset in seclusion.
My first trip to the Hawaiian Islands left me anxious to return. The unit is a comfortable, functional layout, ideal for family. You may want a car to explore the other features Maui has to offer, but everything you need for a fantastic vacation is immediately to hand. Grounds are beautifully maintained, and it's just steps out your door to the ocean. Surf, paddle or just hang out - your call. The complex itself is quiet and private, but only an easy walk (20 minutes) or cycle (5 minutes) from the resort town of Lahaina, with extensive shopping and dining options available. Couldn't be more convenient.
Yet another remarkable visit to Puamana, this time visiting with family we had a restful, magical stay enjoyed two meals out, our favourite Star Noodle and Pacific O. The grounds were as always beautifully maintained, a private, quiet oasis within walking distance of the town of Lahaina.
This is an amazing oceanfront location only 50 feet from the water with lanai sliding doors that open all the way across to bring the ocean right in to the living room. We have had many many guests enjoy wonderful vacations in this beautiful home. After receiving the reviews below the owners decided to remove the AC controls. Most guests from the mainland don't realize that in Hawaii once the humidity is removed from the inside air temperatures in the mid to high 70's is very cool by Hawaii standards. Controls are setup because the humidity in the air and proximity to the ocean (50 feet) cause many AC systems to freeze over. This shuts them down for a couple days and causes water damage in the home as they thaw out. Now that the controls are removed we hope guests will be considerate and not set temperatures in the 60's or leave doors and windows open that will over work and freeze out the system. Whalers has helped tens of thousands of guests enjoy wonderful Maui vacations - we provide excellent prompt service for our guests while maintaining the quality of our owners properties. This property is one of our favorites, we are certain you will enjoy a wonderful vacation.
I have to agree with the previous reviewer regarding the temperature control. When I read it, I contacted Whalers Realty and was reassured that those concerns expressed had been "addressed immediately". Upon arrival, it was 78 degrees in the condo and the thermostat was locked, disallowing any guests from adjusting the thermostat. Maintenance came and agreed that yep, it was stuffy. They would call us back. The next day, we went to Whalers and asked for the code that would unlock the thermostat. They refused, indicating it would take both the owner of the condo and the manager of Whalers to agree and they would call us back. They also admitted there was nothing in the contract preventing any renters from having access to temperature control. On Monday, my husband called and had to get VERY angry. They stated they would send someone who "had the code". Maintenance arrived - no code. Maintenance called Whalers, who gave him the code and it was unlocked.
Bottom line: If you rent this unit, make sure you have the code prior to arrival. for $575 a night, you should be able to control your own temp.
