“Beautiful Location”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

Me and my Husband had a fun time at Aston. The location is amazing with easy access to beach !!!! The only problem we faced is when we arrived to the location, even when we had called 2 hours prior, the room was not ready. We had to wait almost 30 min past the check-in time for our condo. But the staff gave us a better condo facing ocean to make it up. So no regrets :)

After spending 10 days on Oahu and the Big Island, we chose Maui to finish out our time in Hawaii. Unit A 305 was gorgeous, perfectly situated both on the oceanfront (what a view!) and far enough away from the pool noise to be a wonderful respite. The hotel staff was very accommodating, the concierge was helpful and friendly--we won a free ticket to Ulalena from the first-day orientation!--and the room was just amazing.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for an oceanfront view--well worth it! Corner suites, while very sunny and airy, are...

Stayed in unit K 103 ground floor very short walk to pool. This was the perfect 2 bed 2 bath room. Updated kitchen but a small living room and dining area. Perfect for a family of 4 or 5. The beach in front of hotel is not a swimming beach (very short walk) but the pool areas were great. There is some construction going on right now but didnt bother us much. There is quiet time after 10pm and the pool area closes. Kids are not allowed to play ball or play the game Marco Polo in the pool..I heard the pool boy tell the kids to stop and it ticked me off. We rented our room from Maui Dreams come true...well worth it.

Were here for a wedding. Our room was great and had all kinds of stuff in it that I wouldn't have even thought of. We had a full kitchen and tons of stuff to use on the beach. It was super clean and we had great service. Wish the place had a beach but the beach is a short (very short) walk. Love the location as the grocery store, beaches, and everything else is very close. Only a 10 minute drive to Kaanapali its awesome and we are planning to go back. Our room will be hard to beat as it even had boogie boards and an ice chest in it. Loved it! Only bad thing was back bedroom was very hot, even with the air on high, but hey your in Maui, so no worries.....

Start with the problem. Made a reservation over the phone for an ocean front unit, never got a confirmation.
Called and no one could find the reservation. Made another and paid for it. First person had said AC in bedroom and living room. King size bed. Confirmed this with the second person. Got here at 9:30 pm. Room had not been open in some time (musty smell), queen bed, no AC in bedroom. Cabinet doors falling off etc. Second floor, ocean front, great view. F202. Come to find out only two units in the whole complex have AC in the bedroom. Oh well.
The good. They moved us from that unit to a ground floor ocean front corner unit. L101. Recently remodeled. Granite counters and tile floors. King bed, still no AC in the bedroom. The unit is beautiful. Walk out on the lawn to the seawall. Turn left, walk about 20 paces to the beach in front of Kaanapali Shores.
This is a very nice, family friendly place. Two pools. Plenty of very well kept barbecues around the pools. All employees very friendly, although some of the maintenance and cleaning staff have very little english. A little surprising. The property and the unit are kept immaculate. It is one of the only condo complex's with privately owned units that includes daily cleaning
You can walk the beach all the way down to Black Rock, the Sheraton, if you want. Or even beyond down to southern Kaanapali on the walkway.
Even with the added "resor fees" for which we got nothing whatsoever, I felt it was a reasonable price.
Will undoubtedly come back here.
BTW. You do not have to book through Aston. Found some people here who had booked privately through VRBO.

Room Tip: Be very specific about room needs. Try to see pictures of the actual room.

We just returned from a wonderful vacation on Maui where we attended my son's wedding. Although the bride and groom and the bride's parents stayed at Lahaina hotels, we chose to stay at the Papakea since there were 4 of us and we wanted a little room to spread out. We booked through Maui Dreams Come True and were completely satisfied!
Unit K103 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit which has been completely remodeled. The kitchen and bathrooms were all granite - and CLEAN as can be. You walk right out from the patio to the pool and hottub which were both clean and nice.
We saved so much money by visiting the grocery store across the street to stock up on breakfast items, fruit, cocktails and lunch foods. The grills around the pool were very convenient to grill our lunch. Maui is expensive, so by saving on breakfast and lunch, we were able to go out every evening for nice dinners.
We had only one issue which was handled immediately - the iron in the unit was broken. I made a call to Maui Dreams Come True and within a few hours we had a new iron delivered.
I will definately be back to the Papakea and unit K103. The location, cleanliness and accomodations were all terrific!

Room Tip: We loved the ground floor unit which was directly in front of the pool. So nice to be so close to t...
