We stayed here a couple of nights. As other reviews say, the view is amazing.

The rooms were what I'd expect of the 3 star hotel, but views are 5 star! We had a little kitchenette in our room, which I think would be handy for families. Staff we really friendly and helpful.

Lahaina Shores is a time share style resort - so the ammenities are limited, but the price point and facilities are great. The rooms are all different, but you can upgrade to a newer suite, which we recommend. There are both mountain and ocean views - splurge and get the ocean if you can - it's worth the extra money to have coffee and cocktails that close to the ocean. And if you leave your bedroom door open at night you can hear the waves lapping into the shore all night long. The staff at the front desk were VERY helpful and the pool, hot tub and grounds were kept clean and maintained daily. There are washers and dryers on every floor that are $2.50 per cycle and the front desk can provide quarters to use them and also have detergent available for sale. The parking is very inexpensive - less than $4/day. In Maui that's a steal! The location is also great - it's at the end of a long strip of shops, so it's much quieter and there are restaurants, surf board and paddle board rentals right next door as well as a general store that is open most hours of the day just nextdoor. An amazing and inexpensive way to do Maui!

Room Tip: Get an ocean view for a great experience. I would recommend upgrading to the remodeled rooms - they...

We loved this hotel. We were given a beautiful room ...329...and felt the location was like nothing else we saw on the island. Its a time share style resort so there is a few rules and the rooms are all different but we were thrilled with the site. Its old worldy..not flash but very comfortable..Lahaiana is not the big resort area that the others are and this is what we wanted.Right on the beach and ocean front we hired a car and explored.Special mention to Bill and Chester who made us feel very welcome. The only negative we had and we have solutions !! :) were we had a paddleboard with us.Even though there is a very spacious lobby you can not walk through with a board, apparently the "general manager" does not like it !!He also doesnt like boards being left on the lawn either apparently so to access the beach you have to walk around the side of the building. This would be ok but These have gates with sticky locks which if you are holding a board makes it really cumbersome to get through. The carpark is not an option to keep your board as the roof of the carpark is too low for any board to be on top of the vehicle. You need to use a service lift and put the board in your room each night. All doable and not complaining (much) but a solution would be to have a small area outside along near where the barbq area is (where there are bikes parked) where you could padlock your board if you were happy to do so.WE got so fed up with the gates we walked along the street and went through a walkway straight out to the beach. If you are travelling with boards,I wouldn't stay here simply because of the hassle factor.Interestingly in downtown Waikiki we walked through the lobby with the board several times a day.. receptionists saying hi and asking after the surf that day...we were really surprised that in such a surfing mecca as Maui it was all so difficult, if you are not travelling with boards its a wonderful place to stay..I hope you take this as not a complaint just a suggestion...

We booked our trip through a travel site and weren't sure what to expect from our lodgings. We were very pleasantly surprised! This resort is actually small apartments- we had a small kitchen with a full size fridge, stove, and a basic set of kitchen needs. The room was spacious even with the kitchenette. They have a pool and hot tub but the ocean is also just steps out the back door. The main street of Lahaina that has shops, art galleries, food, a movie theater, etc. is only a few blocks away and can easily be walked to. There is also an outlet mall at the far end of the main street. We loved going for walks at night to find dinner and entertainment. Staff were friendly and the room was clean. My one complaint is that we had to pay a daily fee to park.

Room Tip: One side of the hotel faces the street, the other side faces the ocean.

Stayed here for 8 nights, had a third floor ocean view. Could count on two hands the number of travelers under 40. This is almost exclusively for the 40 and over crowd. The negatives are: There are almost no amenities here. No ambience, no dry sand beach, no bar, no restaurant, small pool, no free parking. Everything is off site. The positives here are: A nice lawn area with good quality lawn furniture, a full time concierge, a friendly staff, a clean room with a comfortable bed and full size shower with good water pressure, a well stocked kitchen, nice bedroom furnishings, can walk around room barefoot, a private deck with table & chairs, a laundry room, free Wi-Fi, fast elevators. So to sum it up, this is a comfortable place to stay that is not teaming with screaming kids (like other hotels), within (long) walking distance to Front Street shops & restaurants, and all the excursions (parasailing, snorkeling, dinner cruises, fishing). The best part is the waves lapping on the beach when you go to bed and wake up, the worst part is there is basically no beach to enjoy. A beer & wine bar and some tiki torches in the lawn area would go a long way to improve the stay.

Room Tip: Ocean view is mandatory. 3rd floor or higher for the best view over the palm trees. Bring binoculars...

I had a class in LaHaina and wanted to be within walking distance. LaHaina Shores is a beautiful property, and my room was perfect! My kitchenette had everything I needed. It was a three block walk, but set back away from traffic or any noise other than the waves. I ate breakfast next door at Betty's, went to class, had lunch at either Captain Jack's or Cheeseburger in Paradise, and went "home" for a late afternoon swim. Bill, Allyson, Chester and all the others at the front desk were wonderful, and housekeeping did an outstanding job. The property is gated, and I felt safe—that's important to me when I travel alone.

Room Tip: The upgraded rooms, high up, had great views and amenities.

Located just steps away from Lahaina town centre and the Harbour, Lahaina Shores has a fantastic location; it's quiet and right on the beach. Premium rooms are all ocean facing and well worth the additional $$ as you will enjoy listening to the waves lapping on the beach while you drift off to sleep, and have a fabulous view from your balcony.
The rooms are a little dated, and they are all privately owned, so individually decorate. The room we stayed in (515) had a pull down Murphy -bed (!) however, it was quite fun putting it away and then pulling it down at night. The room did seem to have too much furniture for it's size and could have done with one less armchair, however, the view totally made up for this.
Don't go with the regular Mountain View room though, or you'll have a fabulous view of the car park (and the mountains!)

Room Tip: Book an ocean-view premium room!
