Some of these condo units are privately owned so the furnishings and other amenities vary from unit to unit. We stayed in B207.
It was clean, well-maintained and comfortable. No problem with lack of A/C because ceiling fans and evening breezes kept the room cool. Fully stocked kitchen with quality appliances. Good sized balcony. In-room Internet connection (ethernet cable). Housekeeping staff are excellent and respond quickly to any request or problem. Book an oceanside or ocean view unit. Resort was quiet, no problems with rowdy, partying neighbours. BBQs on the grounds for those who are into grilling. Excellent restaurants less than five minutes walk away: Cafe O'Lei (on site) and Sea House restaurant at nearby Napili Kai Beach Resort. Terrific snorkelling just two minutes walk down to Turtle Bay and Napili Bay. Great location –away from busy, tourist-trap Lahaina. We'll be back someday!

All units at our resort that are managed by Outrigger are very similar regarding, condition furnishings, appliances, etc., however units not managed by Outrigger can vary widely in these areas.

We booked a studio unit in this complex based on the recommendation of friends. The location is beautiful and the grounds of the complex are immaculate. The clerk at the reception was very "matter of fact", not too friendly. We found the unit (G256) nice, and VERY clean. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need including a dishwasher. The big issue with this unit was the bed (a Murphy bed). it is a queen size and was not as comfortable as can be expected. All they need to do is replace the mattress to something of a higher quality. There is a partial view of the ocean which was nice. The walk to the beach is pretty short if you use the side gate, which I believe originally required a room key to enter but is now broken and anybody can enter. There is a wired internet connection in the room, which dropped a couple of times. We called the front desk and they were very quick in contacting their internet provider. They clean the room evry 3rd day of your stay, which is fine except for the fact that it would be nice if they emptied the trash cans a little more often...I would really give this place a "4" if the bed was better.

We are sorry about any confusion on the Housekeeping services offered at Napili Shores. These services may be customized by each guest to fit their individual needs. We have found that most guests prefer service every three days and have made that our standard, however all a guest need do is to request additional or less service depending upon their needs.

This was a pleasant surprise when we stayed here a week ago. Absolutely beautiful location and rooms. Great swimming/snorkeling on site. There was no ac as mentioned, but it was not needed and it was in the high 80s during our stay. Very close to shops, grocery. Quick drive to Kaanapali and Lahaina areas. Make sure to check out snorkeling north of area and blowhole. Did not eat here, but looked great.

Stayed at the Outrigger from August 4th thru 11th. Had a wonderful time. Staff was very pleasant. They provided us an upgrade to a one bedroom condo garden view. I agree that the beds and sofa bed could be upgraded but i think that was the only drawback. Beach was great for families! Great for snorkeling. The weather was an experience - it would rain in the morning and clear up and then some more showers later in the day...didn't mind it at all!! Free internet which was a bonus. Pool was very nice to freshen us off later in the day. We found that the fans and with the windows opened were sufficient - a nice cool breeze. My daughter loved it!! Went to Honalulu afterwards and stayed at the Hyatt - guess what no pool (under renovation) no internet (you had to pay) guest laundromat (highway robbery)!!! So u know what staying at the Outrigger was just perfect.

We stayed here on the last leg of our vacation. The service desk was very helpful and supplied anything we needed. The rooms were average, very clean, and the noise level of other guests outside were a little loud at times. We tried eating breakfast at the gazebo each morning but the line was always too long. The pool was average. The beach area was fantastic, one of my favorite beaches that we visited. It had plenty of shade when we needed it and we had a sea turtle or two swim among us. This was the least expensive place that we stayed on our trip. Nothing about this place is bad, but we weren't blown away either.

In 2006 Outrigger Napili Shores underwent an extensive renovation which includes, granite counter tops, ceramic tile floors, new stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, environmentally friendly low flow plumbing fixtures, upgraded cabinetry with noise dampening hinges and stops, new bedding, and carpeting. Kitchens are furnished with dishes and most items needed for cooking about anything.

In addition, we have 5 new outdoor Weber Grills for cooking. Our two pools (one heated) and spa are crystal clear with state of the art filtration systems using 1/5th the amount of chlorine of conventional pools. The grounds are landscaped with a large variety of native Hawaiian plants and rocks and we have one of the largest Koi Ponds on the island. Lastly, the nearly the entire property is powered by a Solar energy system making us one of the most eco friendly resorts on Maui.

Not Bad!!!! Indeed!

I have stayed in Napili shores in the past, the studios are not good for 2 weeks...We moved to the g, I bldg. lower level, as stated, the view, and location is awesome, we could not unpack, we were with a group, we could not invite company, year one, average cost for a studio was great, year 2 better view, more money, less space not good. Great for Honeymooners or those who go to bed no later than 9:00. Coming again this year....different location more room still in Napili....

Our studio units in particular are best suited for stays of one to two weeks. For those seeking more storage and space, we would recommend a 1 bedroom unit.

Master bed and sofa pullout were both very poor quality. Plan on going to the chiropractor when you get home.
Dishware was pitiful - plus cooking pots were cheap - no vegetable steamer.
No beach items i.e., boogie boards, big towels, or games provided for families.
Staff was very pleasant. The main restaurant was dirty and mediocre.
All the bedrooms had windows to the parking lot and garbage area, very noisy during the night.
Great Beach north of condo and the best snorkeling south of the condo.

Room Tip: Ask for a bed foam topper or two.
