This is our 6th time staying here in 15 years. We have stayed other places on the island, and this is, hands down, our favorite.
The location is a bit far from most "tourist" sites, so if you have never been to Maui, you may not want to consider this spot.
The accommodations are not 5 star. Housekeeping is not daily, and if you feel you need air conditioning, this is not your spot.
All that said, the rooms are very comfortable, the grounds beautiful, the beach perfect, the Gazebo dining is the best breakfast on the island. The staff is friendly and you don't have to dress up to walk through the lobby. There is a do it yourself laundry room on site. After this last visit, I think we all decided that this is the only place we will ever stay on Maui for now on.

We have stayed at Napili Shores outrigger 4 times now and love it. We find the relaxing atmosphere exactly what we are looking for in a holiday. We recommend renting a car as it is a drive to most of the things of interest or even just a grocery store. There can be big differences in room quality as some rooms are private owned and some are just part of the hotel. We have always used the private owned ones and always had good luck. The gazebo is a nice place to eat at Napili Shores and is always very busy. A regular tip for people that stay at the Outrigger is to order your food and then pick it up and eat in your room. The only difficulty we had was when we arrived after midnight due to flight delays and there was no one at the front desk. We were unsure as to what to do and just randomly picked up the security phone. Thankfully we were able to get into our room. Not a great way to start a holiday. The rest of the stay was great however and we would recommend this place to everyone.

we had the most amazing family vacation at the Napili shores. Location was brilliant, easy access to the beach and the pools were always super clean and not crowded.
The room was wonderful and the front desk was very helpful with all our requests during our two week stay.

I had a great time at the hotel.
The room was huge witha big kitchen. Outside there were two pools (including jacuzzi). The hotel is directly at the waterfront, with access to the beach and as soon as the sunset begins everybody meets to watch the sunset.
Just next to the beach is a little bay where you can go snorkeling with turtles.
The hotel is a bit far from the bigger city Lahaina but there is the bus that takes you all the way there (just ask at the receiption)

All in all the service was awesome and I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to relax!
Thanks for this great vacation!

First off, I do not like the tradition of no A/C in Hawaii. I love A/C. I want it on in January. It should always be an option. On the plus side, that was my only big complaint. I have some other small quibbles (long lines for breakfast, lack of much service after check in, etc.) but it did its job fine. Good location, nice rooms, decent prices. I wish our "ocean view" was really an ocean view, but I opted for the cheaper one. Lesson learned. Overall I was happy with it, though I don't think I'll stay there again if we go back.
