A lovely facility literaly steps from a beautiful beach. The gardens are gorgeous, the swimming pool sublime and the barbeque well maintained. Along with a well maintained kitchen, Napili village allows those who prefer preparing their own meals while traveling an economical bonanza. Very close to incedible beaches and an awesome venture across north west Maui. A great value for what it offers..

My husband and I (mid 50's) stayed at Napili Village Condos for 2 nights between Christmas and New Years, 2005. We paid the high season rack rate of $119 for room #3. The room was comfortable and clean - we saw no bugs anywhere. The live-on-site managers were helpful, professional and enthusiastic about suggesting excursions and restaurants. The room looked exactly like the picture on their web site. We found it pleasant and a good value.
The only negative was that we were in the building closer to the road, and there was some traffic noise with the windows open.

We had 10 days of relaxed Maui sunshine at Napili Village. My wife and I took our teen aged daughters. My mom and dad also came along and rented a separate unit. We found Napili Village to be great place for family or for couples. Two great beaches were within walking distance: Napili Bay for swimming, sunning, and boogie boarding. Kapalua Bay for excellent morning snorkeling. The Napili Village staff were all friendly and helpful, but never in the way. The units we stayed in were clean, well equipped, fairly recently remodeled, and had air conditioning units. We used the snorkel shop and the grocery store on the premises frequently. This was our 3rd time to Maui. I don't think you can beat Napili Villages for a fairly inexpensive, relaxed Maui experience. We spent our time snorkeling, swimming, sunning, boogie boarding. Whaler?s Village and Lahaina were good for shopping. We also to a Pa'ia box lunch the Garden of Eden on the road to Hana and found it a great place to picnic and walk the nature trails. We went to Haleakala crater, but found going mid-day to be much more enjoyable then going up for sunrise as we have done in the past. Now for the negatives: 1. The morning coffee provided by the Napili Village by the pool needed more coffee beans and less tap water. 2. The grills by the pool were briquet rather than gas. Gas grills would be a nice convenient upgrade. 3. The traffic through Lahaina made travel to other parts of the island wearisome. This place has gotten popular, but for good reason.

You basically get what you pay for here ... back from the beach, no oceanfront, low budget.

One notable problem is on the insect front. There are armies of ants everywhere, especially in the rooms and in one of the condos we stayed in (we had two) there was a cockroach situation.

The management seemed unconcerned by this, which was rather disturbing.

Maui is over-priced at the best of times so this place offers good value if a bit worn around the edges.
