Description: Often rated Best Italian restaurant in the State of Hawaii, Casanova is a staple of the lifestyle of Upcountry Maui since 1986. From early morning breakfast thru lunch and dinner and to late night clubbing and dancing on selected nights of the week, Casanova is the ritual destination of Maui residents and of visitors on their way back from Haleakala Crater. The Casanova experience is much more than its awards winning sumptuous authentic Italian cuisine. It's meeting and mingling with Maui folks in the very spot where they like to dine, meet and mingle. A must do when in Upcountry Maui.

I've been here several times but only for drinks. I finally ate something! While their sister restaurant, Bistro Casanova is way closer to where I live, the menu here is a little different.

The open-air restaurant is plain and simple. Old interior that's a mixup of tavern, bistro and patio, but clean, which is what matters. The place turns into teeny bopper heaven on certain nights, sans the stage, dance floor, and stadium-style seating off to the side. The parking lot is tiny, but there are quite a few street parking along Baldwin Ave.

House bread - Soft and chewy Focaccia with olive oil & vinegar. Delish! And comp with any entree or pasta dish upon request.

Linguine pescatore - Great choice for seafood lovers. Black squid ink linguine with mussels, scallops, calamari, shrimp and kalamata olives in a tomato-based sauce. The flavor was very good and the pasta cooked al dente. The amount of seafood was good but could've used more pasta (usually it's the other way around.)

Our server Trish was awesome. At first I thought she was just okay as she didn't really check on us, but when it came time to split the bill (at her suggestion), she did it snap, crackle, pop! Some places make it sound like rocket science (ahem, Polli's.)

Good food and really good pricing. Checking in on Yelp can be a problem for Verizon users as all 3 of my friends had no reception. Yay for me having AT&T!

Pastas are fair as drinks are.
Good prices. Don't expect fine cuisine, you will have what u paid for.

I didn't know there were 2 Casanova restaurants on Maui. My lamb chops were cooked dry with a slightly red center like they were cooked from a frozen state. The chocolate pie was served with runny whipped cream from a can.caprese salad was good. Would not eat there again

This is a review only for the Deli, NOT for the restaurant! We drove down from Haleakala from our hike into the crater. Each of us cared for a good breakfast. The potions were okay, there were a good choice of coffee and tea and lots of choices for breakfast. Everything is prepared fresh and fairly fast. We liked the apple strudel even it was a little too sweet. You can sit either inside and outside facing the busy road. Order inside and pick it up yourself. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. The restaurant has NO toilette! You have to cross two roads to get to a bit hidden public toilette. This can be tricky if you come with little kids. Good value for money.

I live in Kihei, so it is a drive to this restaurant, but well worth it. Lots of pasta, great fish and pizza.
