The house is very beautiful, rooms are very clean and comfortable. No a/c so it could get a little warm during the day, but at nights it was perfect. Rooms are not cleaned though or fixed and you prepare your own breakfast. On the other side, you can use the kitchen to cook if you need it.

Kuau inn is located in a quiet place away from the most touristy locations. You will find breakfast in the fridge and lovely people taking care of you. I would recommend eggs in a hole for breakfast, which is a Kuau inn speciality. If you dont know how to make it, you can ask the hosts, Haley and Ryan, they are really really nice.
There is an outdoor shower which is a must to use. You can use it after jogging or swimming and look at the blue sky while getting clean. You can also use it at night because it has lights and you can watch the stars while using a nice moisturising soap.
The beach is a short walk away and you will use a car to get to the tourist attractions. A car is a must at Maui. I recommend the Town & Country.
We had a great stay at the inn and will come back.

Love from Anders and Bjørn Simen

We had the downstairs back room, with an ensuite bathroom and shower. It was small, but comfortable and private. It was nice to have food and fridge available, and to be able to come and go on our own schedule. It would have been hot during the day, but we spent most of the days out. Evenings cooled down, and the open (screened) windows and in-room fan helped. Great access to Hana Highway, and Hookipa beach (with the sea turtles coming to rest at dusk). Paia was a pleasant surprise in that shops and restaurants stayed open into the evening.

This lovely house is well maintained and has a great relaxing vibe. We had the downstairs back room with an ensuite bathroom. The fact that it is on Hana Hwy means it's super convenient to Beaches, Paia , Mama's Fish House and even a cute little store across the street with expresso coffee. The place had all the amenities you need even a big TV so we could watch World Cup games before heading out each day! We went from there to Hana for a few days which was really easy from this location. This is not your luxury accommodation but cute, quiet, convenient and comfortable with everything you need.

Room Tip: Choose a room at back downstairs. No view but quiet.

very nice little place, conveniently located near mamas fish house, hookipa beach and start to road to hana. No AC in our room which made it very hot during the day but cools down and is a non issue at night for sleeping. There's really no reason to be in the room during the day anyway. Shower is outside and was fine. Ryan and Hailey (inn keepers) were great, very nice, and very helpful.

Hi, this is a cute, clean and well run place. The hosts are wonderful. My only complaint was the highway traffic which woke us up a few times during the night. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room facing away from the Hana highway.
The outdoor shower is lovely, as are the people who run this place.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing away from the highway.

I spent 3 nights at the Kuau Inn with my brother. First of all the Bed & Breakfast is situated in a prime location, being only two blocks from the beach and minutes from Paia. Secondly, Ryan and Hailey - the Inn-Keepers - were awesome. They provided all the necessary amenities and the fridge was always stocked with food for breakfast, including fresh fruit, bagels, eggs and toast. You can tell they put in a lot of work to make the place look nice and do their best to ensure that all guests are accommodated. Thirdly, I wanted to touch on the quality of the house and rooms. The house is nicely decorated with a variety of local art and has great amenities including outdoor showers, and a huge kitchen. We had a chance to check out a few of the rooms, all of which were accommodating in their own way. We stayed in the doubles room downstairs; the beds were very comfortable, there was lots of closet space, and huge windows that let a nice Hawaiian breeze run through the room. If you plan on visiting Maui and are looking for quality and affordability, I definitely recommend staying at the Kuau Inn!
