first off if you are to play this course look into the 'mahalo package' - play 2 rounds at Kahili and one at King Kamehameha - Kahili was an awesome course - in great shape - wide fairways and well worth the price especially with the 'mahalo package' - watch out for the greens - they are really tough - didn't wait on one hole - pace of play was awesome - just over 4 hours to play which is fine with me - FORE - enjoy if you play - no cart person on the course in the event you want something during your round you will have to wait until the 9th / 10th turnaround - all in all a great course / day.

If you plan on playing Kahili, don't expect a resort course. Great hole variation, lots of up and down, tricky greens. For the price, it is well worth a visit; far more than some 'expensive' courses. Staff is friendly, nice range, pace of play is good, and it is a good test, especially from the back tees. Par 3's are excellent. Not a lot of water, and fairly roomy off the tees, but you need to hit the approaches well to score.

The title summarizes it well. Prices are decent, boosting my rating, but the wind blowing through the saddle of two mountains where the course is locatied brings the rating down. Locals say its always windy. Trees with orange flowers were in full bloom and beautiful when I was there in early January.

I played the Kapalua Plantation Course at over 3 times the cost of Kahili and for my money and experience this is just as good. Staff was great, the course was beautiful and the views excellent. As a 15 handicap I found the course to be very playable (only lost 2 balls) and fair. The par 3's were some of the best I have ever played. 3 beers, 1 soda and hot dog for under $20 at the 1/2 way house is bargain not just on Maui but anywhere.

Great track, lots of interesting holes, breezy so you have to think on every shot. Staff are super friendly and very accommodating.
