“Just OK considering the nearby competition”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

This is a nice beach and park, and it is closer and less travel if you are tired of driving, than to keep heading up the shore. It is also one of the larger beaches with ample parking (which some of the others do not have). Probably a good choice if you are traveling with family

“lovely beach”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

We were here in May, so it was very very quiet, and we had the beach pretty much to ourselves. It was wonderful, perfect breeze, exploring ..etc. The park is clean and taken care of. Good stop over to watch the boats or have a break from sight seeing. Not to mention, I LOVE THIS TOWN!

“Big Waves in Winter”

Two parking lots nearby. Grab your gear and quick walk to the beach.

Kids had a great time body boarding on the far right side of the cove and watching turtles in the surf. Nice place to hang out due to restrooms and playground nearby. We went there twice and I'd go back again just to see the turtles and watch surfers.

“Surf and sand”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

Loved the surf. The kids (older 17&21) played in the surf for over an hour. The sand here is so sticky and you can find tons of unbroken little shells along the beach. Great place to spend the day. Bring a picnic.

“A typical city beach”
Reviewed 10 April 2014

Although Haleiwa is a small town the beach is the city gathering place. Lots of tourists, surf schools, and rental companies.

The locals warn you to not leave anything unattended as he homeless population is quite large on the beach and has been know to take unattended items.

It's clean and a good place to try your hand at SUP. There are a few operators there. We used Cousin Bryan as he crew was friendly, helpful, and had the best pricing.
