“Moist Tasty Chicken”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 April 2014

We came past to eat at Opal Thai but it was closed so decided to check out Ray's as the chicken smelt divine.
A great choice the chicken was moist and super tasty, sometimes it's just the skin that is tasty but even the chicken was seasoned.
The pineapple cole slaw could go with more pineapple but was still good
.

“should have gotten two”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2014

We figured the chicken would make a nice start to dinner on our first night in Haleiwa(Sunday). It was very tasty and we were left wanting more. Unfortunately, Ray and crew are only open on the weekends and our trip ended before the next weekend. At $10 a chicken, it definitely was worth every penny and a great value.

“Chopped or Bagged?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2014

Laughed a bit because I couldn't figure out what this meant from the sign... Just means if you want your chicken whole (bagged) or chopped into pieces. I took mine chopped with no sides so my buddy and I could have a lunch with a few cold beers at our condo. Would recommend.

“Great roasted chicken cooked in the parking lot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 December 2013

Ray's is an island institution I understand. We had the experience buying chicken that was roasted over hot coals in the parking lot of the Malama market in Haleiwa town. It smelled so good all the way home and lived up to the hype. Tender and delicious.

“Loved the BBQ chicken”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 December 2013

Ate here due to the reviews on trip advisor. Ray's is only set up on Saturdays next to the grocery store on a gravel parking lot. They BBQ chickens on a huge outdoor BBQ spit. You will see the people lined up to order a half or whole chicken. It was moist and very flavourful. Would definitely return!
