The captain of our whale watching excursion recommended Luibuenos as a place that had good Baja style tacos, so we thought we'd take a break from the mai tais and seafood and have margaritas and seafood instead.

As other reviewers have noted, the salsa is the real thing. Very flavorful, just spicy enough. We tried the classic margarita - a refreshingly real margarita with alcohol in it and real ingredients, not that stuff out of a jug that a lot of places use. Salt on the rim, on the rocks, a nice size for the price.

I can't remember the name of our appetizer, and I'mnot seeing it on the menu that is on their website. It was pork wrapped in corn tortillas, deep fried, with a yummy cheesy sauce. Very filling - it could be an entree. We then moved on to tacos. I had two blackened ahi tuna tacos with rice and beans, and my husband had a grilled ahi and a baja with rice and beans. After the appetizer one taco would have been more than enough, though. The ahi tacos were filled with a sizeable chunk (not slices) of tuna, I'm guessing about 4 oz. Rare, just as we requested. The toppings were fresh and flavorful.

Our server was quick and helpful with my questions regarding ingredients. All in all a very nice experience.

All you can eat chips and salsa...the salsa was spicy enough to know you are in a Mexican restaurant. The "Happy Hour" menu was a good deal. The server was friendly and willing to accommodate a special need.

We went here recently for dinner on a Friday evening. The place was busy with a very bar feel. The portions were good and service was excellent. They give you great chips and salsa to start the meal off. The owner is quite active at the restaurant cleaning tables and helping where he can. He even came by a few times to check on us.

Can't wait to go back

Beer battered fish burrito was an absolute winner. The prawn taco was average and deep fried taco. the seared ahi is obviously not Mexican... But a great dish with fusion - recommend you stop over there if you feel like some Mexican as we did.

There were four of us in our party. We eached ordered something different and the fish tacos were the only thing that any of us liked. The sauce on the enchiladas had a sour taste and both the beef and the chicken were dry. The refried beans tasted canned.
The fish tacos were tasty but could be improved with better tortillas.
The service was slow though the waitress was very friendly.
