Owner description: Experience Hawaiʻiʻs Living Culture in Waimea Valley, deeply rooted in authentic Hawaiian History, Culture, Spirituality and Tradition. Waimea Valley is a world apart from Waikiki, be in the quiet of nature, beautiful flowers, rare plants, cultural sites and a beautiful waterfall for swimming.

Really enjoyed my visit here. It's a privately owned Park on Oahu's North Shore, whose entrance is across the road from Waimea Bay. There is a waterfall about 3/4 mile from the ticket booth. There are shuttle rides to/from the Falls for a price. While here, I felt like I was in Old Hawaii, before the missionaries came, in a premordial forest with birds singing. The river runs through the park. There are a few Hawaiian living quarters here, along with where they kept the pigs, etc. These were used a long time ago and are authentic, not re-created. If you choose to walk to the waterfall, be prepared for a LONG walk and a hill. Not recommended for those with knee problems. Bring water. You can swim in the waterfall - personnel there will help you with mandatory life vests. A beautiful place where you can get lost in what it must have been like in ancient times. Gift shop. Highly recommended.

Great market to head to on a Thursday afternoon/night. The food there all looked so tasty, and good little spot to spend an hour or so.

One of the most beautiful places I have been to. The hike is easy and the entire park is gorgeous. The waterfall is a bit underwhelming but it's worth it just for the scenery.

This place has something for everyone. Beautiful Plants, Birds, Waterfall (go for a swim, it is lifeguard monitored), & Food, etc. They also have demonstrations of various Hawaii skills. The Valley is a tranquil and pleasant walk through trails & side paths. You can walk (uphill about 1 1/2 mile) or take their shuttle. We started with a walk and ended up on the Shuttle 1/2 up. All employees very friendly and helpful.

this place is a nice little rain forest area
that has every type of plant you can find in Hawaii
you can find here in this one spot most plants have info around them
Its open from 9 am - 5 pm
It is $ 7.50 per senior or child
$ 15.00 per adult
there is a snack bar and souvenir shop at the beginning
the falls are kind of small and the water is really cold and you have to wear a life vest
you can get a golf cart to take you right there and its 5 .00 per person I think
