Really enjoyed my visit here. It's a privately owned Park on Oahu's North Shore, whose entrance is across the road from Waimea Bay. There is a waterfall about 3/4 mile from the ticket booth. There are shuttle rides to/from the Falls for a price. While here, I felt like I was in Old Hawaii, before the missionaries came, in a premordial forest with birds singing. The river runs through the park. There are a few Hawaiian living quarters here, along with where they kept the pigs, etc. These were used a long time ago and are authentic, not re-created. If you choose to walk to the waterfall, be prepared for a LONG walk and a hill. Not recommended for those with knee problems. Bring water. You can swim in the waterfall - personnel there will help you with mandatory life vests. A beautiful place where you can get lost in what it must have been like in ancient times. Gift shop. Highly recommended.
