Located inside a market, this tiny kitchen makes some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Yes, ever. I'm absolutely thrilled to have found such a wonderful gem here on Oahu. Well worth the drive up from the city. The menu is simple, and the service is outstanding- together these things make it feel like you're at a relative's house being served your favorite home-cooked meal. The chef is a sweet woman who takes your order and then prepares it for you with a smile. When you order, the biggest decision you'll have to make is what protein you want in your curry. Of course, unless you're vegetarian. Which we are, and were delighted to have a vegetarian curry available at all times. Today's curry was pumpkin, and it was incredible. Might I mention the portions are large! For less than $9 per person we each got enough curry for two meals, two large scoops of jasmine rice, a delicious side of spicy tomato sauce, and a bowl of soup. We enjoyed browsing the items in the store while we waited for our food to be prepared. Try the Lays "magic masala" potato chips. Fair warning, you may find yourself addicted. Once your food is ready, before you head outside, make sure to try the various condiments available by the counter. There's tables outside to eat at, or there's plenty of pretty beaches up the road. That's just part of the charm of this place, it's simple, no frills, and no worries. I hope you're like me, and can't wait to go back!
