My daughter and I stayed here on her spring break from school. It was very clean and had everything you needed. Great location. The owners were very nice and helpful.
I would recommend this property for anyone who likes going to the beach and enjoying the patio for morning coffe. Very quiet that's what we wanted.

Aloha Kim and Cole,

It was our pleasure to meet the two of you and to host you in our Lanikai Garden Studio. I trust that the University of Hawaii is going well for Cole!

Please keep us in mind for another spring-break!

We had a great stay in the Lanikai Garden Studio. Great location and beautiful accommodations. Rick and Nini make you feel like family. Even with the hot weather and no air conditioning the studio was very comfortable. We would recommend the Garden Studio to anyone looking for a romantic getaway (even if your there on a house-hunting trip).

Aloha Nick & Kenna,
Eagle River, Alaska

Thank you both for your stay in our Lanikai Garden Studio and for your very nice review. I know you were here looking at real estate in Kailua; ironically, my wife and I are looking at real estate in Anchorage.

Please be sure to keep us in mind for visiting family and friends.

Aloha, Rick Maxey

Stayed here with my family of three (2 adults and a 7 year old) and couldn't have asked for better accommodations. We love the Kailua/Lanikai area and prefer it to Honolulu for the laid back, kama'aina feel while still only 20 minutes away from the city. The Treehouse was exactly as described and the location was perfect - literally just across the street from the beach. It's on the second floor of the owner's house, above the house and garage, and there is a nice, well-lit private entrance stairway to the unit. It came stocked with everything you could need - from plenty of clean towels and linens, to boogie boards and beach gear. The living space is comfy, tasteful, and nicely decorated, perfect for a family of 4, and though there is no air conditioning, the fans were just fine and there was always a breeze through the unit. The hosts Rick and Nini were so friendly and accommodating - warm, welcoming, and helpful if you need it, but also respectful of your privacy too. They have really gone the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need and more - right down to the welcome fruit & muffins on arrival! Beach access is literally right across the street, but please note that the closest access across the street was closed for construction at the time of our visit (early August 2014), but there is another access path about a block away (with a better sandy beach too) so it wasn't a problem for us in the least. Will definitely be calling Rick & Nini for our next stay!

We're glad that everything was to your expectation, as we we try very hard to make sure that what we advertise, is what you will experience upon arrival. We encourage guests for feedback so we can continue to improve on on our property and the guest experience while here with us.

This August was hot, and yes once the sun went down with the fans on, it cooled down. We are very blessed with our beach location across the street and the repairs to our access are complete. The convenience of being able to take a swim and enjoy the low-tide beach is great!

Please do come back and pay us another visit, we look forward to hosting you again.

Aloha, Rick & Nini

I was a last minute reservation after deciding the bustle of Honolulu wasn't for me. Luckily there was a cancellation so the stars aligned. Rick and his wife are amazing hosts. They really provide everything you need and it's all included in the price: parking, umbrella, beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, snorkel gear, dry bag, recommendations on dining...check! I fell in love with standup paddle boarding from Lanikai and Kailua Bay. Unbelievable. Rick helped me coordinate the drop off and pickup of the board. The Treehouse is spacious, with great location off of Lanikai, one of the most beautiful beaches. I took advantage of the kitchen for making eggs for breakfast every day and using the coolers and homemade ice for packing lunches. The Hawaiian music on the TV was a nice touch and sets the mood. I played it every night when I got home. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Treehouse is a 2BR one bath. Would be great for a family of 4 or two couples easily.

Mary, it was a pleasure to host you for the time you were here in Lanikai. I am certain that you saw the entire island and are now very familiar the town of Kailua and our neighborhood of Lanikai.

Thank you for the photo of your standup adventure to off-shore Mokulua Islands.

Our beach access has been repaired and is ready for your return!

My family of four (kids ages 11 and 16) stayed in July. Everything about the tree house was great. Rick, Nini, and family were incredibly welcoming--they would offer us fresh fruit from the trees, snorkels, and beach equipment whenever we needed it and sometimes before we even realized we needed it! The house was clean, quiet, and exactly as advertised. Beach was incredibly close walk, with wider beach where you would want to hang out for the entire day just a few more minutes walk down the way. We feel very fortunate to be able to enjoy a few days in this awesome location with such generous hosts. I really hope we can return for another visit in the future!

Patrick and family,

It was our pleasure to host the four of you for the few days that we had available between guests. Please do keep us in mind for a future visit. Remember, mango season is mid June, to mid July every year!

Thank you for your kind words, we really appreciate hearing from our guests.
