“Noni supplies”

We stopped here on part of our tour. They have free tastings but I don't eat nuts so I can't comment on that. I did, however, buy some Noni lotion here. It works wonders for pain.

“Tour is a must see!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2012

My first visit to the MacNut Farm was with family and friends. Unfortunately for us the weather was not cooperative and it rained heavily at times. Despite the rain, we stayed and walked the hut, where there were many free samples of coffee and different flavored macadamia nuts to taste and purchase along with many other souveniers.

As the rain continued, we debated whether to take the tour, but after some convincing from my friends who had been before, we paid our $15/person to take the Ali'i Tour. Here we crowded onto a run down little bus and began our tour viewing the different types of tropical plants. From there we were taken down to a small outdoor stage area where the show began. Chief Sielu was hilarious and very entertaining with his teachings of the land mixed in with his dry sense of humor and some adult humor!

Even in the pouring rain, I would definitely recommend coming here...if not for the nuts, definitely for the entertainment!

“Not a lot to see...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2012

If we weren't already in the area, I would have been more disappointed about having this on my list. The guide book we had built the place up, but in reality, there wasn't a whole to see here unless you paid for the tours. The samples were good of the macadamia nuts, but other than that, it was a quick and disappointing stop.

“Scrumptious”

Great place to visit! They have so many varieties of Macadamia nuts and free Macadamia nut coffee with milk and natural sugar, The staff there is mostly friendly as we did encounter one older rude lady that was obviously tired of refilling the Macadamia nut tasting stations.

“Let Me Tell You a Story...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2012

One day, a buddy and I were hiking Koko Head (Which I HIGHLY recommend for the adventurous and the in-shape). While sitting enjoying the views of Hanauma Bay, Diamond Head, Waikiki, Honolulu and the other very beautiful sites, we were approached by a older gentleman that had barely made it up the old railroad-tie path to the top of the mountain. He was a wily veteran and thought we were in the military, we were not, and just informed him we were just on a long vacation. He asked if we had been to the Macadamia Nut Farm yet and that it was "Oahu's best kept secret",,, we had not and almost scoffed at him for suggesting that we would dare tour a "Nut Farm." We were in Hawaii to surf, party and hang out at the beach... why would we waste time at a Nut Farm. We thanked him for his suggestion, thanked him for his service, wished him good luck on his descent and were on our way. Later that day we were driving with nothing to do and happen to notice the same nut farm he was talking about. We thought, why not, and pulled in. He told us don't even go into the gift shop, go directly to the tour with the "Chief." So we did just that. It wasn't for like 30min so we wondered around the gift shop. It was decent, had good coffee and a fun array of fruit and nut items. So then the tour started, we got on the short bus and waited... and then the "Cheif" came aboard... lets be real... this is a fruit and nut farm, how exciting could this be... But folks... his guy was hands down the best tour guide you will ever have. He is tattooed from literally head to toe, wore all the traditional dress and was the funniest deadpan comedian. We drove around on the bus for a little while, he pointed out some facts about plants and fruit then him and his boys did some fire dancing and shaved some coconuts at a fire pit thing, the whole time just cracking jokes, we had tears from laughing so hard. Next we went out on a boat on the fish pond got some great pics, got back on the bus and saw all the famous movie sites. He got a big tip from us. It is truly Oahu's kept secret. Best tour I've ever been on!!!
